Are you planning on going rock crawling for one of the first times? Your Jeep Wrangler can take you anywhere, even over large rocks. The Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited come standard with four-wheel drive, and in comparison to other SUVs they have large wheels and tires and a higher ground clearance, all of which make the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited ideal for going off road and rock crawling. But before you go on a rock crawling adventure, there are some things you need to know! Make sure you follow this list of dos and don’ts and stay safe out there!
Do drive slowly while off-road and particularly when crawling.
Don’t accelerate at a fast rate, particularly when descending.
Do let air out of the tires before crawling to allow for more traction. Generally, you want to lower the tires between 10 – 15 psi.
Don’t over inflate your vehicle’s tires and assume the extra height will help, it is actually more dangerous.
Do have someone outside of the car guide you over the rocks. [click to continue…]

Looking for a CUV? The Jeep® Renegade is truly your best option, the competition just can’t keep up. Some competing vehicles like the Honda HR-V, Chevy Trax and Buick Encore just can’t beat the engine, style, and off-road capability of the Jeep Renegade.
Engine and fuel efficiency
The base trim level Renegade comes with a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces up to 160 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Then, there is an upgraded engine option that comes standard on the two highest trim levels. This engine is a 2.4-liter Tigershark I-4 engine that produces an additional 20 horses (180 horsepower) and 184 horsepower.
You may assume because the vehicle is a CUV that it has just average fuel economy. Fortunately, that is not true. The base 1.4-liter engine gets an EPA estimated 24 city and 31 highway mpg, pretty impressive! Even the stronger engine still gets an estimated 21 city and 29 high mpg. [click to continue…]
The thing people like most about owning a Jeep vehicle is the freedom it gives them to get out in outdoors to explore as well as becoming a part of a big nationwide community. If you would like to get your event included in next month’s story, reach out to us on Facebook. Happy summer.

We have been hearing rumors about the Jeep Wrangler pickup for quite some time and we still don’t know many details about the new truck, but new spy photos were released and it looks like it is close to ready.
The Wrangler pickup that was spied by AutoGuide has a truck bed that has a boxy design that is about the same size as the cabin, wheels and tires that appear to be similar to the equipment on the Wrangler/Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Additionally, the Wrangler pickup in the spy photos is a four-door model like the Wrangler Unlimited.
According to a press release from FCA, the pickup will be completed by 2020 . The Wrangler pickup is thought to have an aluminum body frame that Jeep is rumored to be using for other new models. A lighter frame would improve fuel efficiency, handling and acceleration time. There are also rumors of a plug in hybrid, but we haven’t heard about any significant details on that. Jeep and SRT did it again — they have partnered up to make another record-breaking SUV, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. The new Jeep is the most powerful and quickest SUV ever made. and no, you are not dreaming.
Jeep introduced the new model at the New York International Auto Show and it’s safe to say everyone in the room was impressed. The engine in the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the 707-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 engine, which is the same engine in the Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat models. The engine produces 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque.
So what does all of that power do? According to FCA, the Trackhawk goes from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, completes a quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds, and it has a top speed of 180 mph. Wow!
The engine isn’t the only impressive and lovable performance feature of the Trackhawk. The SUV is equipped with Brembo brakes for serious stopping capabilities and it also has a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. Like the Grand Cherokee SRT, which was the first performance Jeep SRT made, the new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has all-wheel-drive, which really makes it fly. Vroom vroom. [click to continue…]
