Joining the Renegade lineup for the 2017 model year, are two new Renegade models. If you don’t know about the Renegade, it is a CUV (compact utility vehicle) that challenges Jeep’s classic look, while not being unrecognizable as a Jeep. The base trim Renegade has is fuel efficient and versatile on and off the road, whereas the top level Renegade trims have everything needed for a day spent off-roading. Check them out below.
Limited-edition Jeep Renegade Deserthawk
The Renegade Deserthawk trim is what it sounds like – a Jeep that can fly when off-roading anywhere, even in the desert. This limited-edition trim is like the Renegade Trailhawk, but it has more stylized features.
The Renegade Deserthawk is available in a few color options including Alpine White, Anvil, Black, or the Deserthawk-exclusive Mojave Sand color. We recommend the Mojave Sand color because it is compliments the Renegade Deserthawk’s theme. Other exterior features like 17-inch black painted wheels, a Trail Rated badge, exclusive body decals and rock rails are all standard with this model.
Of course, the Deserthawk comes with the most capable Renegade engine, the 2.4-liter Tigershark I4 engine. It also comes with additional off-road features such as a 8.7-inch ground clearance, tow hooks in the front and the rear, skid plates, and up to 18-inches of water fording capability which is extremely impressive and useful. The 2017 Jeep Renegade Deserthawk is surprisingly affordable beginning at just $28,140.
2017 Jeep Renegade Altitude
Next up, the Renegade Altitude, and this new Renegade model is permanently joining the lineup. This model is a more aggressively styled as it has dark accents and excellent off-road capabilities.
The Renegade Altitude is available in many different color options, however, black is recommended to create a blacked-out Renegade. Exterior features include 18-inch gloss black wheels, badges, and black accents on the grille and tail lamps.
The Renegade Altitude it is just as stylish on the inside as it is on the outside. The Renegade Altitude has a blacked out interior with premium black cloth seats, gloss black accents, as well as metal diamond accents on door handles and the shift knob. The engine is the same 2.4-liter engine mentioned above, but buyers also have the option of the other Renegade engine, the 1.4-Multiair Turbo engine with a six-speed manual transmission. Pricing for the Altitude begins around $22,390.
Stay tuned, we hope to get these new Jeep Renegade models soon!
