More Off-road Capability with the New Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon

If you thought the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4×4 is an off-road beast, the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon will give it a little competition. Jeep took one of their most off-road capable Wrangler trims, the Wrangler Rubicon, and upgraded a few exterior parts to make it stronger in all off-road situations.

The front axle of the Wrangler Rubicon is an important component to the vehicle’s off-road capabilities and the front axle was focused on for the Wrangler Rubicon Recon’s upgrades. In addition to the standard electronic-locking front and rear Dana 44 axles that have a 4.10 front and rear axle ratio, Jeep has further enhanced the front axle with has strengthened tubes and heavy-duty end forgings.

Other upgrades include heavy-duty cast front and rear differentials covers and improved rock rails. The new rock rails are shortened, making it possible for drivers to easily switch out the Wrangler Rubicon Recon’s standard 32-inch BF Goodrich KM off-road tires with 35-inch tires.

The Rubicon Recon isn’t just extremely capable, but it looks good too! Interior features like black leather heated seats with the “Rubicon” logo, all-weather slush mats, a leather wrapped steering wheel with red stitching and red-accent colored seat belts.

The exterior of the new Jeep looks like a Wrangler Rubicon and has the large Rubicon decals on both sides. Other exterior features include a premium Sunrider soft-top (or an available body-color hardtop), and 17-inch gloss granite crystal-painted aluminum wheels.

The Rubicon Recon is as technologically advanced as they come. Technology features like an eight-speaker audio system, digital speedometer and tire pressure monitor for each tire, and SiriusXM. You can also expect all of the safety technology features in the standard Rubicon in the Recon model as well.

This Jeep is coming to showrooms as early as late in the month! We can’t wait to test one out, how about you? Keep an eye out for this bad  boy hitting your South Florida Jeep dealer, Kendall Jeep before you know it! Until then, check out our large inventory of Jeep Wranglers here.
