2017 Ram 1500

If you are searching for a full-size pickup that is going to last you a long time, why not go with America’s longest-lasting pickup truck, the Ram 1500? The 1500 has proven capability, great consumer and professional reviews, a quality interior and a lot to offer owners. In fact, U.S. News says, “The 2017 Ram 1500 has the smoothest ride and one of the nicest cabins in the class.”

Engine, Trims and Performance

The standard engine for the Ram ProMaster is the 3.6-liter V6 engine. The engine is able to produce up to 280 horsepower and tow an impressive 5,100 pounds. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and has a front-wheel-drive system. In addition, the van uses VVT technology a pulse-width-modulated fuel pump, and cooling fan to provide efficient fuel delivery and power.

No matter which Ram 1500 trim you choose, you will be rollin’ in style. The base model Tradesman comes with exterior features such as 17-inch steel wheels, BSW all-season tires, a tire carrier winch, rear wheel well liners, automatic halogen quad headlamps, and black front and rear bumpers. Inside the truck you will find standard features like cloth seats, 40/20/40 split bench seat, behind the seat storage bin, heavy duty vinyl seating, tinted glass windows and a rear dome lamp.

If you are looking for more style and convenience, there are plenty of additional options available as well. Not to mention, the higher up trim levels like the Laramie come standard with the optional features. Features including leather seats, LED lighting, rubber floor mats, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and bucket seats are some of the interior options. Larger wheels (20-inch and 22-inch), all-terrain tires, back wheel flares, bed lighting, a bright grille, chrome side molding and chrome mirrors are just some of the many exterior feature options.

This pickup is also loaded with great technology for both safety and entertainment. Standard entertainment like a six-speaker audio system, an audio input for mobile devices, a remote USB port and a media hub with both USB and AUX capabilities come even in the base model Tradesman. All Ram 1500 trucks are safe and come with features including advanced multistage airbags, electronic stability control, speed control Sentry Key theft deterrent and a tire pressure monitoring display.

Again, just like with style there are plenty of additional features offered, many of which come standard with higher trim levels. These features include UConnect 5.0 with a 5-inch touchscreen or UConnect 8.4 with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth audio and phone connection, SiriusXM radio, premium speakers and more. When it comes to safety, you have the option of a rear view backup camera, remote start, a security alarm, a rear park assist system and plenty of other options.
