2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Chrysler perfected the formula and then took it one step further by introducing the segment’s first hybrid minivan. Thanks to fantastic fuel economy figures due to its hybrid powertrain, the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid offers an impressive combined 566-mile range. Prospective buyers can look forward to a wide array of available safety features, long term fuel cost savings, and a harmonious cabin loaded with the latest comfort features.
All-Electric Driving Range
Avail. Engine Type
Standard on the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine accompanied by a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers two electric motors. Either power source can get the minivan going, but as a hybrid, both the gas engine and the electric motors can work in tandem for improved fuel efficiency. Regenerative braking is the primary way to recharge the onboard battery while the minivan is in motion. The energy expended when braking is redirected to a generator, delivering an impressive 84 MPGe (miles-per-gallon equivalent) for a hybrid vehicle. The 2019 Pacifica Hybrid offers an all-electric range (meaning without releasing a single emission) of 33 miles.
Chrysler offers buyers three different charging/recharging methods to restore the lithium-ion battery to full capacity. The most common is a standard 120-volt outlet, as in the same outlet in which any consumer can plug an appliance into. There’s also an available 240-volt Level II charger that can be installed at home (for an additional charge) so that buyers can enjoy a full charge in as little as two hours. When using the 240-volt Level II charger, buyers can expect an 80 percent charge in as little as a half-hour. Owners can also enjoy public charging stations found in shopping plazas and rest stops reserved for plug-in hybrid vehicles while on the go.
Some standard features on the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid are as follows: premium fog lamps, automatic on/off headlamps, LED taillamps, daytime running headlamps, heated exterior mirrors, a laminated front door glass to minimize interior noise levels and outside interference, and power sliding doors on the driver and passenger side with fixed glass. Buyers can opt for upgrades such as a chrome Stow ‘n Place roof rack, rear and front splash guards and a power liftgate. 17-inch polished aluminum wheels come standard on the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid, but buyers can upgrade to 18-inch polished aluminum or black-noise painted wheels as well.
Engineered to be convenient and efficient, the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid offers keyless entry enter-n-go, remote keyless entry for all doors, triple-zone automatic climate control, easy entry second-row slide seating, a power eight-way driver’s seat, sunscreen glass and an acoustic windshield designed to block out all outside noises. These features are all lineup standards. Cloth upholstery comes standard on the Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus trim, while leather-trimmed seats — perforated or premium — are standard on the Pacifica Hybrid Touring L and Limited trims instead. The 2019 Pacifica Hybrid also offers owners ventilated and heated front seats, KeySense technology, and a remote start system, and an auto-dimming mirror — all part of optional upgrades available.
Standard on the Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus and Touring L trims is a six-speaker audio system, but the Touring L trim also offers buyers an optional 13-Alpine speaker system. The Limited trim comes standard with an impressive 20-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio sound system. An 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen display is the lineup standard. With the 8.4-inch touchscreen come features such as Bluetooth with voice command, Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capabilities, HD radio, and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls. The Limited trim has a standard 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, and is offered as an upgrade on the Touring L and Touring Plus as well. The latest Uconnect 4C infotainment system features navigation, while a Uconnect theater includes wireless streaming, seatback video screens, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, SiriusXM Traffic, and Travel Link is available as an upgrade package on the high-tier Limited trim.
