2019 Jeep Cherokee Refresh Announced by Jeep

December 21st, 2017 by

Jeep just made the official announcement that the iconic Jeep Cherokee will have a refreshed design for the 2019 model year and its new look will be on display on at the North American InternationalAuto Show on January 16, 2018.

The refresh of the Jeep Cherokee renews and revitalizes one of Jeep’s top selling vehicles. According to photos published on the FCA media site, the redesigned 2019 Jeep Cherokee has been given a facelift on the outside and in the inside. Most notably, the refresh replaces the unpopular split-headlamp design and slightly changed the grill design, moving away from the previous look with a shifted rake angle and smaller spacing between each slat.

But what exactly makes the Jeep Cherokee look iconic? Every brand has their unique vehicle in each class that serves as the most well-known and popular trims. Cherokee has represented that for Jeep by serving as the powerful, luxury SUV. Cherokees paved the way decades ago with a great design, attractive pricing and building brand loyalty. The signature Jeep grill and raw power attached to driving a Cherokee has not changed.

This new 2018 Jeep Cherokee refresh provides a brand-new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and joins the Jeep Renegade and Compass equipping the nine-speed automatic gearbox. Containing the proper horsepower you’d expect in this latest generation roll out, you’ll be able to get there easily in one of the better compact SUVs on the market today.

The current trims no longer include the Sport for the 2018 Cherokee model. The Cherokee Latitude is the base model, the Latitude Plus is the mid-tier and Cherokee Trailhawk and Limited have added standard features to include blind-spot monitoring and rear parking sensors.
