2024 Ram 1500 BEV Coming To Life

2024 Ram 1500 BEV Teaser from Strategic Plan Presentation. (Stellantis).
Earlier this year, way back in February, Ram officially announced its plans to build an all-electric Ram half-ton pickup: the Ram 1500 BEV. Since then, we have only seen a few tease photographs of a conceptual version of the truck that is planned to emerge sometime later in 2022. Ram will employ customer feedback to carry their production version of the truck for customers by 2024. The Ram 1500 BEV (battery-electric vehicle) will be made and offer a Range Electric Paradigm Breaker (REPB) version, expected should have a small internal combustion engine (ICE) to act as an engine to recharge the batteries and remove any range anxiety for those who are not certain about the future of the industry and how strong EVs will become in the market. We certainly know the Ram 1500 will have an EV fix that should only compliment the Best Car Interior Award winner in the coming years.
Looking At the Ram 1500 BEV Clues
The all-new electrified pickups will be based on an evolution of the DT architecture (known as the STLA Frame). It will be very similar to the chassis found on the all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Jeep Wagoneer (WS) architecture, which is based on the current DT architecture. Using the teaser images, we have seen a number of digital creators create their own takes on what the new Ram 1500 BEV would look like. One of those artists, Marouane Bembli, is a famous YouTuber who makes critiques across a spectrum of automotive designs in the auto industry. In his latest video, he takes his chance at the forthcoming electrified Ram half-ton. Taking a glance at the very different configurations from the Ram brand’s competitors, such as the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet Silverado EV, Bembli pushes to incorporate some discourses from both trucks to complete a design from the Ram teaser pictures on top of the existing Ram 1500 TRX model. Across-the-board, these are impressive images.
Building the Battery Electric Vehicles
The investment into vehicles like the Ram 1500 BEV is all thanks to its parent company, Stellantis. Stellantis and Samsung SDI created a partnership recently that will expend over $2.5 billion to construct a lithium-ion battery plant in Kokomo, Indiana. Stellantis presently owns a number of plants in Kokomo and revealed earlier that it is upgrading Kokomo facilities to assemble a new transmission that will be consistent with upcoming EVs. This will be Stellantis’ second battery plant in North America. The first EV battery establishment will be made in Windsor, Ontario, in a collaborative venture with LG Energy. Regarding the success of this collab, here is what the head of Stellantis had to say.
“Just under one year ago, we committed to an aggressive electrification strategy anchored by five gigafactories between Europe and North America. Today’s announcement further solidifies our global battery production footprint and demonstrates Stellantis’ drive toward a decarbonized future outlined in Dare Forward 2030. I am grateful to Governor Holcomb and Secretary Chambers along with Mayor Moore, and their teams as well as to all my colleagues for their support and dedication to bring this operation to Kokomo, a city that holds a rich and long history for our company,” remarked Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis.
Ram says the website is also intended to give consumers a more in-depth look at the development process of the brand’s electric vehicles. While we wait for the technology of the future, imagine the possibilities of the technology of today at Kendall Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.
