Chrysler Pacifica Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Chrysler is celebrating 40 years of the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. The minivan term has been used by the brand from their Voyage years through now and the award-winning Pacifica era that includes the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid minivan. Today, the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica has arrived (pictured above) and looks as timeless as ever.

Chrysler Celebrates 40 Years of Minivans

Chrysler received a vote of confidence from the advisors on the board of Stellantis. We expect the Chrysler brand to revamp some of what is left, but offer more vehicles that hit the marks the brand used to. Once upon a time, the Chrysler brand stood for something greater aside from the dominance earned by the Chrysler Pacifica in the minivan segment. No brand comes close to the minivan segment like Chrysler, but the brand is looking for more excitement. The fourth largest automaker in the world is going to provide exceptional leaps forward in technology, but we are curious about the plans for the oldest brand in the Stellantis portfolio. After all, the reports from the show the Chrysler sales are strong and have a positive outlook for the expansion expected in the near future.

Changes and Growth Coming For Chrysler

The brands included in the mix of Stellantis’s umbrella are under a near decade-long watch by Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares. The hope is to see each brand continue to expand and gain a larger following in the global market. The next steps include growing to expand the Chrysler brand into Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. In terms of the Chrysler brand, more products are the first step. Currently, only the Chrysler 300, Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid are in the wheelhouse. These specific rides are catering to various shoppers. The awards that the Pacifica has earned include Good Housekeeping including three awards from AutoTrader.

The origin of Chrysler minivan operations began on November 2, 1983, as a 1984 model, the first of more than 15 million Stellantis minivans moved. As many as 117 Stellantis minivan unique innovations include 40 years include Stow ‘n Go seating and storage system, Uconnect Theater, dual hands-free sliding doors, first electrified powertrain are all part of the legacy Chrysler.
