Dodge has an idea to help more customers enjoy its vehicles in 2020. Dodge is considering to follow the footsteps of fellow Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) brand, Ram, in building the current Dodge Challenger alongside the newest Dodge Challenger expected to debut later in 2020. The previous-generation Ram 1500 is still alive and well with the Ram 1500 Classic, as the new 2020 Ram 1500 is wildly popular, customers have the option to buy the current or classic muscle car. Now, Mopar Insiders has revealed FCA is set to push both the older model and the new model in the future. This could be the same for the Dodge Charger as well.

How the 2020 Dodge Challenger

Inside the 2020 Dodge Challenger, drivers will be able to get their hands on the premier muscle car experience. The 2020 Challenger offers a wide range of trims, starting with the SXT trim that starts at $27,995 MSRP (Plus destination fees) and rides on 18-inch wheels offering 30 highway mpg. The next trim is the GT trim that upgrades to 20-inch Granite Crystal Wheels. The GT trim adds a performance hood, leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote vehicle start and begins at $30,995 MSRP (Plus destination fee). Both the SXT and GT trim are supplied with the 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 engine that hits 305 horsepower. An impressive jump in horsepower comes with the 375 horsepower 5.7-Liter engine included in the next higher trims, the R/T trim. The HEMI V8 engine is paired to a six-speed manual transmission and begins at $34,545 MSRP (Plus destination fee).

Experience the More Impressive Challenger Options

For drivers looking for the high-end Challenger trims, they will be pleasantly surprised to know about the R/T Scat Pack that supplies the 392 HEMI V8 engine that moves the horsepower to a completely different level at 485 horsepower with an impressive, equally matched 485 lb-ft of torque. Four-piston Brembo brakes are added, an 8.4-inch touchscreen and the option for the Widebody makes the R/T Scat Pack a winner. The R/T Scat Pack can be purchased for $39,245 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and offers the best-in-class horsepower for under $40,000. Of course, this is not the highest-level experience available for owners looking to really go far with the Dodge Challenger.

Want To Make 2020 Ultra Exciting? Jump Into a Hellcat

The amazing feeling of owning and driving around a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat can not be accurately described without the actual experience. Feeling the G-forces of the rush from 0-60 in a Hellcat is memorable and something few vehicles can provide. The 6.2-Liter HEMI SRT V8 engine has 717 horsepower with 656 lb-ft of torque. We’re more than happy to sell the Hellcat with its wild top-end speed of 199 mph. This all-wheel-drive masterpiece is one to drive home! While we await the possibility of the current generation being sold with the future generation of Challenger models, the current line-up is better than ever before.
