Dodge Muscle Holds Resale Like No Other Brand

Customers want to know their purchase will hold up well over time. For any lifespan of any automotive product, most rides see their production run close before they can hit a second generation. Some brands will hold on around five years and then begin to consider or grant a new generation, only offering refreshes till then. A refresh is when a vehicle sees minor changes as opposed to a more massive scale than the previous model year. There is an even more massive change to a vehicle when a new generation is introduced. This means a change of most of the details that will be altered could be the entire car, often the wheel size, the entire length, volume and auto body color set as well. Usually one or two colors are switched or added automatically each year.  

Taking Muscle By Storm Yet Again

The first apex of Dodge musclemania was big in the 1960s. Dodge was able to produce the same hype back when the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger resumed in 2006 and 2008, respectively. These muscle cars were not only able to hold on to their platform from then till 2023, they offered special edition packages but more or less maintained the same interior and exterior as far as as far as construction was concerned. That longevity is huge and unheard of, but was placated on the ability to ensure sales and improve the powertrains and offerings for buyers with each year over that span for the most part. Today, Dodge is offering quite soon their new generation that will have to hope to retain a similar value, though we hope there will be a new generation that does so. That’s a remarkable time length and Dodge is set to make their battery-electric vehicles carry a similar production run with this next generation of all goes according to plan.

Stellantis Adding More For BEVs

Stellantis saw their vehicle sales of BEVs increase as much as 41%, in just one single year. They went from 204,000 BEVs made in 2021 up to 288,000 BEVs in 2022. The next generation Charger or Challenger (whichever they decide on nameplate-wise) will most likely be a BEV. An investment of another $155 million was just announced by Stellantis that should help further push their brands into the new electrified present and future for buyers ahead. The pursuit to bring buyers the latest technology is going to not only drive sales but how many drivers receive a great return on their investment both while using their ride and after they continue on from the experience.

The 2023 model year is the last model year to include the solely combustion engine offerings as the electric Dodge muscle car is expected to begin with the 2024 model year class. The time is and has been running out for those who are still thinking Dodge is running the same ol’ business as usual campaign.
