Dodge Watches as Sales Soar on 2015 Challenger

Dodge-Challenger_2015_8867647587The 2015 year has been a pretty exciting for Dodge Challenger, Miami. Not only has it been revamping an Italian classic and remodeling its entire lineup to include bits and pieces from the Alfa Romeo that it now owns, but it’s been watching as sales from the Challenger continue to soar.

Challenger Wins!

While, it really shouldn’t come as any surprise, as the Challenger is the most powerful, quickest and fastests than its competitors, the Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang, it’s not in recent history been able to out-sell them. That is, until now.

Setting Records

Sales for the Dodge Challenger has slowly been on the rise for the past five years, and with the introduction of the Scat Pack and SRT Hellcat models, it’s no wonder that it’s been turning more heads and garnering attention. But there may be another reason.

Purple Reign

One recent change to the Challenger that’s been getting attention is its new choice of color: purple. Now, if you’re like me and understand that purple has always been the color of royalty therefore it represents luxury and reigning power, then why wouldn’t you want your car to also represent such characteristics?

And I wouldn’t feel weird about blasting Prince’s Purple Rain from the speakers, or blaring Deep Purple while putting the 707 horsepower to the test on the open highway. Anyone who disagrees with the color or music choice will have to catch up to you first.

Best Modern Muscle Car

Already having the best year in sales since the modern muscle car was introduced in 2008, the Dodge Challenger sold 51,949 which only reflects through September. While sales in Fall and Winter generally drop, the year still isn’t over which means it’s just going to gain more.

Every single year since 2008 it has topped its previous years sales record. This is quite a pattern to develop and record to break.

Challenge to Beat 1970 Sales Record

To beat its best ever, it has to look back forty-five years to 1970 when Dodge moved 72,975 Challengers. Currently, the Challenger is only about 20,000 units away from beating this record. Given the direction Dodge is taking their brand in and the pattern the modern day Challenger is already part of, one can logically presume that it’s only a matter of time before the record is broken again.

So, go ahead and add a little color to your life. This royal beauty is extremely reasonable at $26,995.
