Holidays Arrive With 2025 Charger EV Updates
Must be the holidays because Dodge is leaking out some intel here and there. Word is finally getting out about the first-ever Dodge electric ride, to be fair, this is speculative info but the first of its kind in 2023 with less than a month left in the year! According to a hidden source via online publication, The Drive, Dodge has narrowed down their options to three potential electric powertrains that will offer an array of strength and innovation fit for the 2025 Dodge Charger.
First Of Its Kind and Fully EV
The entry-level EV trim is expected to supply a lone, rear-mounted motor with a 400-volt system providing over 400 horsepower. For the mid-range trim expectations come in the form of a dual-motor setup that provides 670 horsepower with all-wheel drive, and perhaps the chance of power-boosting upgrades could be available. This would be in the form of a Hurricane straight-six engine. The base powertrain that offers 420 horsepower and an uprated version hitting 510 horsepower. Dodge has revealed the Hurricane I6 engine-powered muscle cars that will be built on the new STLA Large architecture. This is all news that provides us with a clearer picture about what to expect from the brand.
What Is the Premiere 2025 Charger EV Trim?
The true 2025 Dodge Charger EV is found in the highest trim, with a speculated 885-horsepower engine, a powerhouse step to launch the muscle car industry into a frenzy with the first-ever 800-volt electrical system and set-up in a production muscle car. What a time to be alive for all muscleheads! The Dodge V8 halo cars are set to be a thing of the past, so buying Dodge now is the play.
Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis told CarScoops in 2022 that the Charger could provide a gas-powered engine but would launch without one initially.
“I can put an ICE [Internal Combustion] engine in there,” he said. “Doesn’t mean we’re going to. We’re certainly not launching with anything like that.” Kuniskis said, “We’re lunching with full battery electric, and we think that by the time we get to that point, the offering we’re going to have is going to be really attractive in the marketplace. But we’ll maybe never get there,” – Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis.
As we await the 2025 Dodge lineup that will come in 2024, we are here to offer the current Dodge collection with high-powered and high-octane performance the brand was built on.
