How the Pacifica Remains Atop All Minivans

April 23rd, 2021 by

There’s a reason why the Chrysler Pacifica was named the “Best Family Cars” list multiple times since its newest generation debuted in 2017. For informative purposes let us examine why the Pacifica also won over the Kelley Blue Book editors as it landed on their “12 Best List” yet again. With awards from two of the most reputable automotive publications, our readers know they have a strong chance of falling in love with the Pacifica minivan.

Revamped Interior

Chrysler added a mid-cycle refresh for the 2021 model year and this included an updated exterior and interior design. While the new appearance makes the Pacifica inside resemble a more SUV-like design, it’s just as spacious. Owners gain an updated infotainment system that uses a larger color touchscreen. Each trim provides more standard safety features including forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. The freshly added Pinnacle trim has added quilted caramel Nappa leather seating and second-row lumbar support pillows.

There are several features available in the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica that drivers can’t get with any other brand. The most famous for Chrysler is the fan-favorite Stow ‘n Go seating that remains available on each trim. Stow ‘n Go provides both the second and third rows of seats to fold flat swiftly into the floor. No added tools or seat removal is needed. The Stow ‘n Vac built-in vacuum cleaner as well as the newest Uconnect Theater rear entertainment system is also available. For the 2021 model year, the Pacifica keeps its sporty S Appearance Package. The S Appearance Package contains cool black wheels, blacked-out badging and accents with commemorative seating.

Why the 2021 Pacifica Has Succeeded

Today, only the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica minivan offers customers a plug-in hybrid minivan option. The Pacifica is rated at 82 combined MPGe by the EPA and has an all-electric driving range of up to 32 miles. The 2021 Pacifica provides 30 combined mpg without the use of its electric range. Unfortunately, the Pacifica Hybrid can’t be purchased with Stow ‘n Go seating or all-wheel drive. The price difference between them isn’t very much as the Chrysler brand also offers a base trim version of the Pacifica. This base trim is known as the budget-friendly Voyager minivan, which starts under $30,000 MSRP (Plus Destination Fee). Pricing for the Pacifica hovers begins at $35,000 MSRP for the Touring trim up to $53,000 MSRP (Plus Destination Fee) for the Pinnacle AWD model. The Pacifica Hybrid starts at about $40,000 MSRP (Plus Destination Fee) and goes up to almost $51,000 MSRP(Plus Destination Fee) for the highest level trims.
