Jeep has challenged customers towards all-out adventure and exploration. Jeepers have enjoyed higher-quality materials and engineering that has allowed for world-class off-road abilities. As the new 2021 Jeep Wagoneer and 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee approach, we look forward to seeing them with the Mojave trim. The Grand Cherokee currently has the Deserthawk trim that is fitted with a Jeep Desert Rated badge, but Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the parent company of Jeep, has not added more Deserthawk trim levels on any vehicle aside from the Grand Cherokee. To have a vehicle be able to deal with the rigors of sand and go through the environment of sand, engineers had to approach the design unlike any vehicle they’ve ever made. Let’s see what it takes and what Jeep offers with the Desert Rated badge.

Desert Rated Badge Is Earned

The Jeep brand has debuted a new Desert Rated badge for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator mid-size pickup. The Desert Rated badge signifies superior off-road travel for traveling on sand. The terrain of sand is very different from any other surface. The criteria to earn the Desert Rated badge means the Jeep vehicle will have top-notch traction, desert prowess, ride control and stability, ground clearance, and maneuverability. This will be offered for the Grand Cherokee, for the first time ever. The new Jeep Wagoneer has not been around since 1993 and this will be the first Trail Rated Wagoneer ever. The expectation will be for the Wagoneer to be a luxury full-size SUV that is capable of being an off-road vehicle with ease for owners going on off-road trails.

More on the 2020 Jeep Gladiator

The Mojave package first came out for the Gladiator in 2020. The Gladiator Mojave package has solid all-terrain gear like Fox internal bypass shocks and front hydraulic jounce bumpers, 33-inch all-terrain tires, an extra inch of ride height up front and stronger axles. This package rates higher than the highest trim for the Gladiator, the truly fantastic Rubicon trim. The base trim of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport that starts off at $33,545 MSRP (plus destination fee), followed by Sport S trim that starts at $36,745 MSRP (plus destination fee), succeeded by the Overland trim at $40,395 MSRP (plus destination fee). Lastly, the fourth and best trim option, the Rubicon trim, is available at $43,545 MSRP (plus destination fee). While we wait for the next entries of the Mojave trim, check out the new Jeep Grand Cherokee available at Kendall Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. We’re also looking forward to when the three-row Jeep Wagoneer comes out, just like many of our customers.
