The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is going to gain some perks from the Jeep Gladiator to enable more perks and stay ahead of the competition in the mid-size SUV market. While some rival brands have begun to revive odd concepts to try and supplant the Wrangler, innovation leads the way for Jeep. Jeep has only pushed the limits of the Wrangler to new heights while other brands try to catch up. Jeep launched the new plug-in-hybrid Wrangler 4xe and more good news is coming as a new report has more coming for the JL Wrangler. Soon the 2021 Wrangler will gain new tech features and improvements to its AWD system on select Wrangler trims. Jeep has done very well in terms of impressing owners of Jeep vehicles and will do so with the new 2021 models set to come out later in 2020.

Upgrades To the Wrangler

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is receiving new technology that helps owners become more aware of how the vehicle is working. Tire-Fill Alerts pop up on the Wrangler’s standard seven-inch Uconnect infotainment screen. The tire pressure is displayed while the driver is filling up or letting down their tires, issuing a honk of the horn when the correct tire pressure is achieved.

More improvements are coming for the Wrangler. The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon carries a Forward Facing Camera that is going to be available on the Wrangler Sahara and Wrangler Rubicon. This will allow drivers to display a live trail cam feed to assist with low-speed trail maneuvers while driving off-road. The camera is installed within the grille, presenting a low-to-the-ground vantage point that improves sight for the person behind the wheel.

More Gladiator Technology Coming

The addition of Off-Road Plus, first designed for the Jeep Gladiator lineup, is also coming to the 2021 Wrangler. The perks of the Off-Road Plus features will help owners engage the rear locker and tailor the throttle, shift points, and traction control to accommodate higher speed off-road driving. This feature will help with more than low-speed rock crawling. Owners can opt to go with the Jeep Wrangler Sahara trim that offers a Selec-Trac transfer case. These will be available on Sport models, the base trim, while the Rubicon will receive the innovative heavy-duty Rock-Trac transfer case. Both are full-time 4WD systems that can automatically engage and disengage the front axle to suit the conditions. The biggest change to the Jeep Wrangler lineup is the addition of the aforementioned 4xe hybrid, none of the Wrangler’s 2021 changes are as drastic.

Gladiators Gains Some Wrangler Perks

For all 2020 Wrangler models, owners could choose from three powertrain choices. The most robust of which is the 3.6-Liter V6 gives drivers 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Jeep Gladiator will also have this engine and receive as well its own new EcoDiesel option for some trims. Jeep is spreading the wealth of both vehicles. Not just with technology either, some new body color choices are headed to the Jeep family as well.
