Jeep Is Rolling Out More EV Charging Stations Across the Globe

The Jeep brand is working towards creating a new 4xe charging network. The goal is to include more charging stations in both America and Europe. The Jeep brand has rolled out the Wrangler 4xe with plans to offer the Renegade and Compass with a 4xe trim. The Jeep Gladiator 4xe trim will debut before long as well. The road ahead for owners of these new and future 4xe vehicles should be a smooth one as Jeep is allowing for more resources to keep these EVs charged. While having an EV charger setup at home is a must, what happens when going out on trips or vacations on the road? Jeep will provide ways to ensure those owners are covered. 

Building the New 4XE Charging Network

The hard work has already started as Jeep continues to improve and roll out its environmentally-friendly charging stations across the country and abroad. The 4xe Charging Network will be monumental in getting new customers and keeping those who love Jeep, but want to have a new EV to drive. The charging network will be entirely regulated by Electrify America. Level 2 charging stations will be added at Badge of Honor off-road trailheads around the United States over the next year. Keep in mind that these stations will offer impressive charge times for drivers to appreciate.

Regarding Level 2 charging, the power provided is 240-volt charging that can take a battery pack from zero to full in two hours’ time. The A 17-kWh battery inside the Wrangler 4xe can provide around 21 miles of EV range by itself. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara starts at $47,995 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and is priced at $51,695 MSRP (Plus destination fee). The Wrangler 4xe is eligible for the federal tax credit up to $7,500 as well as other credits available.
