As we look ahead to the future of the automotive industry, we know only one thing is expected in droves; EVs. Electric vehicles are coming to the audience the world over. The Jeep brand will soon offer the Jeep Wrangler plug-in hybrid that offers up to 31 miles of all-electric driving, according to MotorTrend. The world awaits the debut of this impressive Wrangler trim. Now more word is getting out about the plug-in hybrid straight from the top. As with every Jeep ride, owners are going to be continually impressed by Jeep and how they make their vehicles; and the Wrangler plug-in hybrid will be no different.

Jeep Plans For Debut of Wrangler 4xe

The 2020 FCA Annual Shareholder meeting included a report of the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid that will debut worldwide in this third-quarter of 2020. This comes directly from the CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (now known as Stellantis), Mike Manley. He added with the statement “The vehicle will arrive in our showrooms in the United States by the end of this year and in Europe, and China early next year.” These are the words that keep us on the edge of our toes waiting for the chance to see first hand how the Jeep Wrangler 4xe handles.

Adventure Comes With Every Jeep

The official Jeep Twitter account tweeted a short teaser on August 22nd and another on August 25th, 2020. Our first impression of this new Jeep Wrangler 4xe is excitement. We want to know our readers’ thoughts. Let us know on social media what response the Jeep Wrangler 4xe has made towards any future vehicle shopping plans; keep in mind the plug-in hybrid will be a hot ticket for Jeep and all Jeep dealerships. The only other vehicles that currently offer electrified versions are the widely popular Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, the Fiat 500e, which has since discontinued, and the Wrangler will be the next. Many more are on the way.

The Future Is Electric For All Vehicles

Stellantis (Formerly FCA) has come out to say the launch of 30 electrified models will be out in just over two years when the 2023 model year season begins. This report by MotorTrend also notes that the Wrangler will most likely have a turbocharged 2.0-Liter four-cylinder engine that will be paired with the electric motor to create the “plug-in” aspect to the Wrangler’s engine. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler offers its 48-volt mild-hybrid system and by 2022, the plans are to create an electrified option that will be ready for every single model Jeep sells.
