The 2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel is on roads and traveling around the world right at this moment. A third-generation turbocharged 3.0-Liter EcoDiesel V6 powertrain that was made by VM Motori. This engine is very similar to the one found in the Ram engine, aside from the injection pump and alternator have been moved to allow the Wralgner’s 30 inches of water-fording ability. The measures for this unique powertrain are 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, which is the highest torque-rated Wrangler ever.

How the EcoDiesel Is Different

With over 500 miles of a driving range, this Wrangler has everything a driver would need to travel off-road and enjoy the adventure for longer on the trails. The 18.3-gallon fuel tank is actually smaller than the 21.5 gallons in the gasoline-powered four-door Wrangler models. The optional 2.0-Liter turbo-four offers 21 city mpg and 22 highway mpg and hits 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The standard 3.6-Liter V6 is officially rated at 19 city mpg and 22 highway mpg and hits 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The improvement in gas mileage is important to keep in mind, but so are the amenities offered by Jeep. The Jeep interior is beautiful and provides owners with trim combinations and a distinctive style. The available nine-speaker Alpine Premium Audio System comes with an overhead soundbar, an all-weather subwoofer, and a powerful 552-watt amplifier.

The EcoDiesel is built differently and is the heaviest Wrangler at 4,862 pounds with the Rubicon trim. The EcoDiesel is between 300 and 487 pounds heavier than the gasoline versions. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel begins at $39,290 MSRP (Plus destination fee). With over 70 standard and available safety features for the Wrangler, which helps to ensure safety to go along with the modern amenities and advances. Keep in mind, the Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel is only available for the four-door Wrangler Unlimited trim.

Find the Adventure In the Wrangler

We know Jeep owners are hoping to maximize their adventure and fun with the ability to go nearly anywhere outdoors. Travel on a beach, go on new trails, move across shallow water (up to thirty inches of waterfording ability) and enjoy the ability to go off-script from the typical roads. Now, with the EcoDiesel, drivers can go further than before and safely go off-road thanks to its dual solid axle suspension setup and off-road-ready tires.

Keep in mind, the Wrangler retains its value better than any vehicle on the road according to iseecars.com. The average five-year depreciation of vehicles sold in 2015 is 49.6 percent. The Wrangler lost only 31.5 percent of its value. Hoping to drive one of the most coveted Jeep vehicles? Check in with us at Kendall Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram today.
