The official timeline for when the new off-road beast, the 2021 Ram Rebel TRX and the Jeep brand’s return of the Grand Wagoneer three-row luxury SUV have been named. The production on both of these vehicles will debut for Stellantis in 2021. These details were named after the second quarter of sales results were posted. Stellantis’s financial report places the production to begin in less than two months from now. The 2021 Ram Rebel TRX will see the building process begin during the fourth quarter of 2020. In regards to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, it will be built at the Warren Truck plant.

Why the Production Has Taken Some Time

The production will be delayed as the plant will shut down this fall to continue retooling and building the machines to produce the Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Before long, there will be quite a few options for those seeking a luxurious, three-row SUV option. The Ram truck brand has already declared the high-powered off-road pickup truck will debut next summer. Ram awaits the new TRX option to face the off-road competition, like the Ford Raptor pickup. This is going to be the start of a new generation product that carries the famed Hellcat powertrain. Owners will gain a supercharged 6.2-Liter HEMI V8 that gets 707 horsepower will be fitted into the Ram Rebel TRX. Some expect the new Ram pickup to also offer a less powerful engine, somewhere along the lines of a 5.7-Liter HEMI V8. (Not that that’s much of a drop off in terms of strength.)

More On the Jeep Grand Cherokee

The next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee is going to debut before long, but the Warren Truck plant will shut down into October to retool for production, which FCA says will begin in the second quarter of 2021. Following that will be the start of production for the Grand Cherokee in the third quarter of 2021. Jeep wants to offer customers more options with various luxurious options. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is expected to be the top draw with the technological approach to add new hybrid technology, a deluxe interior, and plenty of screens, like a digital instrument cluster and a massive 12-inch infotainment screen.
