The Chrysler Pacifica will just never stop winning awards from prestigious automotive sources or being named on lists in the minivan segment. The latest award the Pacifica earned is “Best-in-Class” in the minivan segment from AutoPacific’s 2017 Ideal Vehicles Awards. According to Automotive World, owners of the Chrysler Pacifica say the vehicle meets and/or exceeds their expectations.

This is the first year the Pacifica has won the award in the minivan segment, which makes sense considering how new the van it. However, we expect the van to keep winning for many years as it is one impressive vehicle!

How is the winner determined?

AutoPacific determines its Ideal Vehicle Awards winners based on a survey of 65,000 participants. The participants are surveyed regarding changes they would like to see for their vehicle. There are fifteen different categories that the surveyors are questioned on and the Pacifica received the fewest requests for changes in the minivan segment, and that is why it earned the title.

What makes the Chrysler Pacifica such an awesome van?

There are many highlights and features of the vehicle which we will discuss below that make the van so awesome. However, the biggest feature that sets the Pacifica apart from other vans is the ability to come with a  hybrid drivetrain. The Pacifica Hybrid is the one and only hybrid van on the market. The standard 3.6-liter V6 engine is paired with dual electric motors and a 16 kWh 360 V lithium-ion battery. This combination is able to provide the van with 33 miles of put electric range, over 500 miles total range and an impressive MPGe of 84.

Other highlights of the Pacifica:

  • Up to 140.5 cubic feet of cargo space when the Stow ‘n Go seating is properly configured.
  • Over 100 standard and available safety features to keep your family as safe as possible.
  • A fuel efficient gas engine for those who choose the gas model over the hybrid. The 3.6-liter V6 engine averages 28 mpg on the highway.
  • Plenty of standard and available convenience features including an available in-vehicle vacuum and a hands-free sliding rear doors.

The list of amazing features goes on and on. If you are interested in this award-winning minivan, check out our Chrysler Pacifica inventory here.
