Ram Dual-Motor Powers Electric 2025 Ram 1500

The future of the premiere pickup brand will begin next year when the 2025 Ram 1500 REV is available. We’ve learned the new-generation pickup will be offered in five trims including the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited as well as the debut of an all-new trim, the Tungsten. Ram Racking Up the Electric Power

The upcoming 2025 Ram 1500 REV is set-up to serve as a landmark ride and part of Ram’s main contribution to Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. This plan by the parent company of Ram, Stellantis, is to offer innovative, clean, safe and affordable mobility solutions. As part of Dare Forward 2030, Stellantis is investing billions through 2025 in electrification and software to delivery battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) that meet customer demands.  The all-new 2025 Ram 1500 REV XR with class-topping range will be found with the introduction of the fully-electric Ram 1500 REV.

Raising the electrified benchmark with segment-leading capability, strength, performance and efficiency, the Ram 1500 REV delivers for drivers a new level of performance with dual 250-kilowatt electric drive modules (EDMs) that combine the motor, gearbox and inverter and add all-wheel drive capabilities. The 2025 Ram 1500 REV includes an automatic wheel-end disconnect that allows the front wheels to rotate freely in certain conditions, maximizing efficiency. A 250-kilowatt EDM is positioned on the rear axle available with an electronic-locking rear differential.

What EV Capabilities Are There?

The standard 168 kilowatt-hour battery pack has a range of up to 350 miles and the optional 229 kilowatt-hour large battery pack has a targeted range of up to an unprecedented 500 miles. Both can add up to 110 miles of range in just 10 minutes with 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kW, offering owners a fast and convenient recharging solution. Lives will be made easier courtesy of vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home and vehicle-grid bi-directional charging that can send power to a home during a storm, run the tailgate party or provide power at the camp or jobsite. An on-board power panel in the bed can give 7.2 kW while the available on-board power panel in the frunk provides up to 3.6 kW.
