After the concept debuted in 2016, many wanted to take the Ram 1500 TRX for a spin. Who wouldn’t want to experience the 6.2-Liter Supercharged engine in a full-size pickup? Ram gave the TRX a new prominent hood scoop design that will produce enhanced air feeding into the superchargers. The Hellcat powertrain is an enormous V8 powertrain that will be the latest creation of the Ram brand to offer a complete off-road-ready pickup experience for buyers.  The landscape in the pickup market has grown into a vast array of options for customers. Luxurious Ram 1500 pickups are built every day, but a customer might want something that is focused on providing more excitement.

Enter the Ram 1500 TRX

Ram anticipates the new Ram Rebel TRX option to challenge the off-road competition, like the Ford Raptor pickup, with its own brand of extreme engineering. This will be the first Ram truck to gain the famed Hellcat powertrain. Ram Rebel TRX will also ride on all-new 35 inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory mud-terrain tires; this is a two-inch difference between these tires and the regular Ram Rebel tires. The goal for Ram is to establish the TRX as the benchmark for all off-road trucks. Just listen to the Head of the Ram talk about the 2021 Ram Rebel TRX.

“The all-new 2021 Ram TRX sets the benchmark for extreme performance pickup trucks and solidifies Ram Truck’s position as the off-road truck leader…Ram has a strong history of high-performance trucks and TRX adds to that while expanding the light-duty lineup with the segment’s best combination of performance, capability, luxury, and technology.” – Mike Koval, Head of Ram Brand, FCA – North America

Pricing Has Just Been Announced

Customers can opt for a pickup ride that is less expensive, opting for perhaps the Ram 1500 Classic. The choice is in the hands of the buyer, but for some, the Ram 1500 TRX and its price of $71,690 MSRP (Plus destination fee) is not a problem. The Rebel TRX will be worth every penny for those who want a four-wheel-drive, computer-controlled suspension system that can go from rock crawling to up to 100 mph on desert terrain. If an owner really wants, they can max out the luxury in the TRX with heated leather seating, radar cruise control, 19-speaker premium audio system, carbon fiber trim, and a bed-mounted spare tire carrier for the price of $1000,585 MSRP (Plus destination fee). There are few vehicles offered that surpass the 100K mark sold by Stellantis (formerly FCA), but this is one of them that can be justified.

TRX Name Origin and Launch Edition Coming Next Summer

The name of the Ram Rebel TRX came from simply the fact Ram owned the TRX name from a lesser-known Ram package. However, once the response took off online about how a TRX (T-Rex) can feed off a Raptor, the name stuck. For customers interested, the debut of the TRX will come with exactly 702 Launch Edition TRXs that will start at $92,010 MSRP (Plus destination fee).
