FCA invested nearly $1.5 billion to retool the plant to build the next generation Ram 1500, which launched in 2018, and support the future growth of the Ram brand.

Ram has formally added the Ram Rebel TRX to its production line earlier this year at the Sterling Heights, Michigan Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) factory. All of the Launch Edition pickups were made after quickly selling out. While Ram produces the new TRX that is breathtaking as well as powerful, the TRX is made at the same time as the new 2021 Ram 1500 pickup. The addition of the 6.2-Liter Hellcat V8 supercharged engine into the Ram pickup has created the first Ram to offer drivers 702 horsepower. While FCA has the Dodge brand that can provide the speed escape that owners want out of its muscle car and SUV lineup, the Ram brand provides pickups solely. This is the first time Ram has added a turbocharged engine into a production vehicle like the Ram 1500.

Fastest Ram of All-Time?

Ram quotes a 4.5-second 0 to 60 mph time for the TRX with a 12.9-second quarter-mile time, clocking in at 108 mph. The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has a top-end speed that hits 118 mph. The Ram 1500 has represented what pickups are capable of for the working folks around the world. For those who have wanted more luxury and accommodations outside of having a reliable drive with a solid bed frame, the perks of owning a Ram have only increased with each passing year. The latest Ram 1500 included the Ram Rebel TRX that serves as a landmark offering for customers. The debut Launch Edition with its $92,000 base price sold out quite fast, which was a signal to Ram to continue to produce this style of pickup. Some folks want the most of that Ram can offer and the Rebel was no different. Ram has decided as a brand to donate the first Ram 1500 Rebel to a charity auction.

Production Going Forward

While the Launch Edition is sold out, the upcoming Ram Rebel TRX pickups being produced are crafted with engineers having paid a great detail of attention to amping up the capabilities of the off-road pickup truck. Not to mention, improving the perks of what luxury can be offered inside one as well. The Launch Edition arrives in its Anvil Gray paint with a plaque on the center console. Built with the TRX Level 2 equipment group, which bundles carbon-fiber interior trim, a head-up display, bead-lock-capable wheels, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, among other features. Ram further decked out VIN #001 with accessories like a bed-mounted spare tire carrier and rock rails from the Mopar catalog. Want to find out more about how Ram pickups are so popular?
