The 2021 Jeep Wagoneer is undergoing final preparations and considerations before its run is scheduled to begin again. The last sight of the Jeep Wagoneer was back in 1993, twenty-five years ago. Confirmed to return back in 2017, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). So, with this new Jeep incarnation of the Grand Wagoneer, what will customers find? The upcoming FCA and Jeep product is expected to offer drivers the choice of a V6 as well as a V8 powertrain. As FCA has placed in both the new 2020 Jeep Wrangler and 2020 Ram 1500, an EcoDiesel engine option to help with greater fuel economy. The details for the EcoDiesel powertrain have not been released, including the mpg rating. However, this vehicle will not only have a 48-volt hybrid system with the EcoDiesel, but a new plug-in hybrid variant might also come out as well.

When To Expect the Debut of Both New Jeep Vehicles

When can the public expect to see the latest Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer? These vehicles will debut in the spring of 2020. These are the critical months ahead fo FCA to figure out how to shape the distinct niche these vehicles will carry. The Jeep Wagoneer was promised by FCA to be a “super-premium” choice fro customers. What the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is in the mid-size pickup segment, the hope for FCA and Jeep is this upcoming Jeep Grand Wagoneer can be the same for the full-size pickup segment. That would put the Ram 1500 against the Jeep Grand Wagoneer in terms of segment, but both vehicles offer different elements that attract different buyers. On the other hand, the Jeep Wagoneer is expected to have three rows of seating and be a large SUV that rivals other luxury SUV options.

Jeep Heavily Invested In New Vehicles

FCA has put their money behind making sure their factories are ready to create these new Jeep vehicles. An investment of $4.5 billion has been committed to help upgrade their Detroit plants with exactly $1.5 billion to be dedicated to the plant that will make both Jeep vehicles as well as the Ram 1500 Classic.
