There are five trim levels for the 2017 Jeep Patriot including the 75th Anniversary Edition, but availability on that trim is limited. The trim names (in order from base to highest level) include the Sport, Sport SE, Latitude, 75th Anniversary, and High Altitude.
The 2017 Jeep Patriot lineup includes two engine options. The base engine is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, which is able to produce up to 158 horsepower and 141 lb-ft torque. Buyers who want a larger engine with some more power, there is a Tigershark 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine option as well. The upgraded engine options produces up to 172 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque.
The interior is comfortable and offers plenty of space for five large adults. The SUV has a large rear cargo space and the seats can be configured to open up 53.5 cubic feet of cargo space. Premium cloth bucket seats, bright interior accents, illuminated cup holders are standard on all trims and buyers have the option of a few different interior color schemes.
The classic Jeep-look complete with a seven-slot grille and boxy body is evident in the 2017 Patriot. The Patriot has gone through little changes over the past few years, which is great because it is staying true to the original body style and Jeep appeal. The base model has features like 16-inch steel wheels, all-season BSW tires, fog lamps, halogen headlamps and black side roof rails.
As always, the 2017 Jeep Patriot has many available options for both the interior and exterior, many of which come standard on higher up trim levels such as the Patriot High Altitude. Some of the interior upgrades include leather seats, heated seats a panoramic sunroof and . Exterior upgrades include a variety of wheel choices, automatic headlights, 17-inch wheels (steel, aluminum and bronze aluminum which is standard for the 75th Anniversary trim), BSW all-season touring tires, automatic headlights, and crossbars.

For the 2017 model year, Jeep spiced up the Patriot’s entertainment features and now all Patriot trims have plenty of ways to keep the driver and passengers entertained. Features like SiriusXM, bluetooth audio, a four-speaker audio system, radio 130, and an audio jack input for mobile devices come standard. Upgrades include a UConnect touchscreen (8.4-inch or 6.5-inch), nine Boston Acoustic speakers with a subwoofer, radio 230 and 430, and liftgate speakers
The NHTSA gave the 2017 Jeep Patriot an impressive four-star overall safety rating. The Patriot is equipped with standard safety features like advanced multistage airbags, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist and speed control. A ParkView backup camera is available, as well as a remote start system.

When it comes to warranties, nothing has changed for the 2017 model year. The Patriot is still covered by a three-year or 36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
