Each Ram 2500 HD pickup are made with a number of configurations just like their light-duty counterpart. For the 2024 Ram 2500 HD trucks, Ram offers buyers three engine options, two cab sizes, two truck bed lengths, and two drivetrain options. A feature that comes standard under the hood of the 2024 Ram 2500 is a 6.4-Liter HEMI V8 engine capable of generating 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, all while paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, Ram also offers a less potent variant of the Cummins engine that generates 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque, available on both the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 models. The new 6.7-Liter with 410 horsepower is available and new for the Ram HD.

Buyers will notice the 2024 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty is a juggernaut and most capable pickup in the segment. The 6.4-Liter HEMI V8 engine has a maximum towing capacity of 16,320 pounds. Engineering upgrades for the 2024 Ram 2500 HD lineup include new exhaust valves and springs, a new-and-improved cast iron cylinder head, lighter and stronger pistons, and new rocker arms. Additionally, four-wheel-drive is available on the 2044 Ram HD lineup. The 2024 Ram 2500 carries a BorgWarner part-time transfer case, class-exclusive Active-Level rear air suspension, and Frequency Response Damping shocks on all four corners.

Exterior Features

As with the Ram 1500 light-duty, the 2024 Ram 2500 HD lineup offers owners six different grille styles to choose from. There’s also a new front bumper that features larger openings to increase airflow into the turbo intercooler. Optional upgrades for the interior include heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Entertainment

Owners gain a six-speaker audio system, standard on the 2024 Ram HD lineup, as is a 5-inch touchscreen display. Also standard is integrated voice command with Bluetooth, a complimentary one-year Sirius XM Radio subscription, a media hub, and the latest Uconnect infotainment system. There’s a massive 12-inch touchscreen display that’s shaking up the industry and is available as an optional upgrade, but an 8.4-inch touchscreen is the only upgrade available that includes navigation. Select trims can also upgrade to a 17-speaker Harman Kardon Premium audio system.
