The newest Jeep Wrangler, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler looks rugged and capable, as always. The changes for the 2017 model year are mostly slight design changes and there is a new package, the Cold Weather Group. But aside from those minor things, drivers can expect the Wrangler to be as fun to drive and as reliable as it has been in the past.
The Jeep Wrangler is available as a two-door, four-passenger vehicle or a four-door five-passenger vehicle, which is called the Wrangler Unlimited. Aside from the number of doors and passengers, the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited have the same features. Both vehicles have the same engine, same standard 4×4 drivetrain and the same off-road capability.

For the 2017 model year, there are seven Jeep Wrangler trims. Four of the trims are standard Jeep Wrangler trims, while the other three trims are limited-edition models. The four standard models (in order from base to highest trim level) are the Wrangler Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. The three limited-edition models include the Wrangler Rubicon Hardrock, Willys Wheeler, and for a second year, the 75th Anniversary Edition.
There is one engine across all Wrangler trim options. The engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission or five-speed automatic transmission. The Jeep Wrangler produces up to 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and helps the Wrangler achieve a maximum towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. In regards to fuel economy, the vehicle gets an EPA estimated 17 city and 21 highway mpg.

That is why Jeep still builds the Wrangler with the classic seven-slot grille, a full-size spare tire on the back, a strong steel frame and roll bars. It has features like an eight-speaker system, an audio jack input, radio, MP3 and CD player, and mounted steering wheel controls. There are also standard and available upgrades like SiriusXM, UConnect 5.0 or 8.4, GPS navigation and a premium Alpine 9-speaker system with an all-weather subwoofer.
Standard safety features include advanced multistage airbags, electronic roll mitigation, electronic stability control, hill start assist, speed control and traction control. Remote keyless entry, a security alarm, and front-seat mounted side airbags are also available add-ons.
The pricing for the 2017 Jeep Wrangler begins at just $23,995 and goes up to $38,845 for the highest trim level, thelimited-edition 2017 Jeep Rubicon Hard Rock.
For 2017, the warranties are unchanged and they include a three-year or 36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
