“The Dodge Durango SRT presents a dazzling array of graphical elements, including a smoky SRT animation at startup and shutdown, a slick 3-D navigation map and an equally colorful TFT gauge cluster.” -Tom Murphy, Senior Editor of WardsAuto

Engine and Performance

The Dodge Durango SRT is the most powerful Durango yet. Its 392 HEMI V8 engine is able to put out an impressive 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The engine is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and the vehicle completes the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds. Other performance features of this SUV include a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, a t-shifter, sport mode, track mode, huge Brembo brakes, and a performance-tuned AWD system.

There may have been a couple of items mentioned in the last sentence about performance you may not understand. That’s because it is all new technology for the SUV! The t-shifter provides the driver with gear selection and allows for automatic stick capability. The new sport mode for the Durango SRT is one of the seven driver modes offered and it allows the driver to reduce shift times up to 50 percent. Finally, the all-new track mode delivers the maximum performance with up to 70 percent of traction going to the back wheels.

Style

Sporty and aggressive on the outside, luxurious through and through on the inside. It doesn’t get better than that. The interior of the Durango SRT comes standard with Nappa leather seats, carbon fiber trim, a hand-wrapped instrument panel, silver accent stitch, heated and ventilated front seats and embossed SRT logos. To give the Durango SRT a sporty interior, Dodge through in SRT paddle shifters and an SRT flat-bottom steering wheel.

On the outside of the Durango SRT features such as new Pirelli Scorpion Verde all-season tires, an SRT rear-body lower fascia with gloss-black accents, exhaust tips finished in nickel chrome, SRT logos, and daytime running LED headlights all come standard. In addition, Pirelli P Zero three-season tires are offered for this SRT.

Tech

Technology for this vehicle both safety and entertainment are above and beyond what is considered standard in other SUVS. For example, the SRT comes with UConnect 8.4 and an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a Beats 19-speaker audio system, SiriusXM, bluetooth streaming, AUX and USB capability, and voice activation.

Just like you would expect from any Dodge, this vehicle is plenty safe! Features including side impact beams, UConnect emergency S.O.S. system, ParkSense front and rear parking sensors, and a parkview backup camera all come standard with the Durango SRT.
