2020 Dodge Adds Brass Monkey Wheels Option For Muscle Cars

Dodge has been switching things up for the second quarter. The changes can be found on the finish of the wheels found on its premium Dodge muscle cars. Dodge has switched the option of its Devils Rim aluminum wheel design in Brass Monkey finish for the SRT Hellcat Challenger and Charger models. A report Mopar Insiders has revealed the wheels will come back to the selection menu once Dodge begins production of its two muscle cars again. The slowdown of the Coronavirus is still present in holding up certain aspects of production. However, keep in mind that Kendall Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is still here to provide comfort and vehicles to our customers! Let us share more on this story.
Changes To Dodge SRT Hellcat Vehicles
It’s not often that Dodge alters anything within its muscle car line-up. The biggest changes have come by way of new trims or special packages added. Most recently this would be the addition of the Hellcat Redeye trim to the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT lineup and a small change to the splitter guards that many new owners leave on, but they probably won’t with this change coming to the new Dodge muscle cars. The standard fit on the Dodge Charger and Challenger is a 20-inch Low Gloss Black Performance wheel. Customers can select options that include a 20-inch Machined with Granite Pocket wheel or a 20-inch Matte Vapor SRT aluminum wheel. There are different options for the widebody trims, including a standard fit of 20-inch Carbon Black Aluminum wheels, or the option of a 20-inch Warp Speed Granite wheel. The Warp Speed has the exact design as the Matte Vapor but with a different finish. The return of the 20-inch Brass Monkeys is the second option on widebody trims of the Charger Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye. The Brass Monkey is replacing the 20-inch Matte Vapor SRT Aluminum rim available on the non-widebody trims.
More To Keep In Mind When Selecting Wheel Options
Those choices are on the Dodge configurator, but the online tool does not include the Brass Monkey options for the base trim Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody models. Mopar Insider has reported they will both gain the option soon. The wider versions of the Challenger Hellcat bolt on a set of 20-inch wheels that reach 11 inches wide. The base trim Dodge muscle cars will add the Brass Monkey rims, set at 20 x 9.5 inches. The 2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat only comes in two widebody versions, which both fit the 20×11-inch Brass Monkey wheels, but the options are not listed on the Dodge configurator for now. This leaves owners with the Carbon Black Aluminum and Warp Speed Granite wheels. The optional wheels on the Challenger all cost $1,095 MSRP, the Charger’s upgrades cost $1,295 MSRP. Production for the Dodge muscle car wheels will begin again in Brampton, Ontario and Dodge will offer all-wheel choices and as well as new exterior badges with a new Black and Dark Bronze finish upon reopening.
