Jeep has a lot of options that are rewarding for all segments. Want a pickup truck? Jeep has the Gladiator to keep buyers covered. Want an SUV? The 2022 Jeep Compass, Wrangler, and Cherokee and Wagoneer as well as the Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer as well as the all-new 2022 Grand Cherokee L SUV options. There are more options available than customers can even end up taking home, unless a large business or family wants to gain the entire lineup (we are ready to help with everything, if that’s the case). For the Jeep brand, they are still making changes that are drawing attention to their collection. The new Jeep Grand Cherokee offers a two-row option that is not expected to go on sale till the end of 2021.

Ride With More Height And Greater Ground Clearance

The Trailhawk trim for the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk offers the Quadra-Lift air suspension system that offers 11.3 inches of ground clearance. The competition doesn’t offer this kind of lift, as the Ford Explorer Timberline offers only 8.7-inches of ground clearance and this higher trim only offers 0.8-inches from the base trim. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe is the top-prize for customers and offers a plug-in hybrid experience with fuel-saving technologies and the most luxurious option on the Grand Cherokee spectrum. This is the trim that makes owners fall in love with the brand. In fact, the competition to those in charge of the Jeep brand find the Ford Explorer a sad option considering how little the rival Ford brand did to implement real change for their customers.

“I actually feel sorry for [Ford Explorer Timberline] customers that get tricked. You can paint a tow hook red. It doesn’t mean that behind the tow hook it would even hold up in the right moment that it needs to. We design all of those Trail Rated elements from the ground up… it’s not just a marketing term, it’s capability that’s bred in. You don’t just put stickers and paint on things. We build it in with incredible capability,” Jim Morrison revealed to Muscle Cars & Trucks.

Jeep Piles On Power and Luxury Over Rivals Like Ford

There are more reasons Ford loyalists might have to reconsider opting for the Explorer over the many options customers can find with the Jeep brand. In just the Grand Cherokee alone, there are three engine options ranging from the 3.6-Liter V6 Pentastar to the 5.7-Liter V8 HEMI with 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque and the top-powertrain option is the 2.0-Liter turbocharged four-cylinder option that offers 375 horsepower and a wicked 470 lb-ft of torque. Ford only offers the Timberline with a 2.3-Liter turbocharged four-cylinder that offers a stunningly lower 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can decide for themselves which option makes more sense for them, but from a strength and luxury standpoint, there isn’t a question as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the many options available crush their rivals in the 2022 new vehicle lineup debate.
