2024 Jeep Class Carrying More EVs

Despite the news of Jeep CEO Christian Meunier retiring from the brand on November 1, 2023, we know Stellantis has appointed Antonio Filosa, the Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis South America, to takeover the task at hand. The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer EV is one of two all-new electric SUV vehicles that are ready to be announced to the North American markets. The other all-new entry is the all-new Jeep Recon. Just the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe, 4xe represents Jeep plug-in-hybrid models. For the 2024 Wagoneer, this EV will be only electric powered with an estimated battery range of 400 miles on a single charge. Jeep expects a 600-horsepower figure that will allow drivers to enjoy the electrified hum to haul as fast as 60 miles per hour in only 3.5 seconds. The entry of the Jeep Wagoneer EV is a huge milestone for the off-road brand, which expects EVs to make up as much as 50% of all vehicle sales in the U.S. by 2030. We expect further Jeep commitment to EV expansion through this decade and way beyond 2030. We won’t see the change happen overnight, but this is the rush of the electrified era we are currently experiencing in the automotive industry. We can anticipate more news like this, breaking for every major Jeep ride!

EV Growth For Jeep Expected

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer EV will be the first electric model from Jeep, though it will draw inspiration from the brand’s current gasoline-powered models and fuse it with EV-esque features such as a light-up grille. This blend of modern and traditional styling elements gives the Wagoneer EV a futuristic look, but it is still recognizable as a Jeep. According to Jeep, production is set to start sometime in 2024, but we’ll have to wait for more details closer to the SUV’s launch. We anticipate the luxurious touch of deep engineering to be on full display when introducing this new generation of Jeep Wagoneer capabilities. We also expect this EV to eventually translate to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer at some point in this decade.

Among the three series offerings, Jeep hasn’t announced pricing for the Wagoneer EV just yet. The various details for the standard and optional features for the SUV are also unknown as of now. We expect the Jeep brand will offer a price premium over the gasoline-powered model, though the speculation is Jeep will continue to offer this EV trim and offer gasoline versions as their own trim entry.
