Amazon To Buy A Massive 2023 Ram ProMaster Fleet
More and more businesses are finding a use for the Ram ProMaster van. The latest company to look to use the Ram flagship van for their fleet? Amazon. The world’s largest shipping and supply company will add to their growing fleet services arsenal with a massive order from Ram. Stellantis, the parent company of Ram, has not disclosed the number of the electric delivery vans expected to be delivered to Amazon. Rest assured, the figure is set to cost Amazon quite a bit as no doubt thousands of these vehicles will be made available. We didn’t expect the Ram ProMaster to offer an EV trim as early as next year, but here we are.
The Upcoming 2023 Ram ProMaster Gets the Nod
The 2023 Ram ProMaster van does not have an electric-hybrid offering available for customers today. This is expected to come out next year. There was an order for 100,000 vehicles set to be made for Amazon, prepared by Rivian, but they learned there wasn’t enough. They need the Ram ProMaster to help reach their pinnacle growth. Stellantis is focused on getting on producing low emission vehicles, including 30 billion dollars through 2025 towards moving towards an EV collection for customers. Ram is going to partner with Amazon to work together to create in-car software for all Stellantis brands. They want to add the ProMaster thanks to its upcoming EV capabilities like what is being added for most, if not all, of the rest of the Ram lineup, little by little.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Stellantis to transform the automotive industry and re-invent the in-vehicle experience,” said Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, in a statement.
The Ram Collection Grows More Popular
This is not the first collaboration between the brands as Amazon and Stellantis announced last year they will offer the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer to be the first vehicles to offer in-car Amazon FireTV. This software is accessible from the main display and rear seat screens. New and pre-owned Ram vehicles are important for so many customers.
