March 16th, 2018 by

According to Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand, “Ram trucks have earned a reputation for long-lasting reliability, hard-working capability, comfort and refinement. We are pleased that the Ram 1500 has been recognized among the industry’s best interiors, and proud to be the only truck to earn this distinction”. The editors at Autotrader carefully review the latest models that are priced at under $50,000 for their 10 Best Car Interiors. They base their ratings on comfort, quality of materials and the strategies used to assist consumers in finding specific vehicles that hold the importance of quality interior style to a high regard.

In order to consistently offer consumers a premium interior feel that stays true to the rugged nature of a Ram truck, one-of-a-kind materials are paired with modern technologies and personalized interior themes. However, certain features are considered a priority like soft-touch materials and upper bolsters enhance the interior cabin and the use of premium surfaces.

“What’s on the inside of a car is arguably as important as what’s on the outside, since drivers and passengers spend all their travel time here,” said Tara Trompeter, managing editor for Autotrader. “Although there’s an all-new, fully redesigned 2019 Ram set to debut soon, we’re still smitten with the interior in the outgoing 2018 model. As you escalate through the Ram’s trim levels, the interior improves, with some top-end models offering luxury car levels of comfort and sophistication.”

The 2019 Ram 1500 offers consumers luxury while maintaining the balance of strength, technology, efficiency, power and comfort. Named the “Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas” by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) for the second year in a row — the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition, according to FCA, is the world’s benchmark for upscale pickup trucks. Consisting of premium quality materials, the Laramie Longhorn emulates traditional Texan design cues such as the leather from a hand-crafted cowboy boot, a horseman’s saddle or even an antique pocket watch. All of these design cues played a part in the creation of the Laramie Longhorns authentic interior cabin.

Throughout the Laramie Longhorn cabin, consumers will find a newly embossed alligator skin leather pattern that covers the surfaces of the center console, instrument panel, seats and door panel inserts. “Wherever you look, whatever you touch, the Laramie Longhorn is filled with more craftsman-like details, including wood surfaces and 100 percent full-grain leather seats, than any other truck in the segment,” says Mike Manley, Head of Ram brand. Satin chrome accents, a brushed-nickel metal badge flush-mounted on the console lid and a new “Longhorn” branding mark burned on the wood-trimmed upper glove box door are some additional one-of-a-kind details consumers will find in the Laramie Longhorns interior.

Adding to the authentic and traditional materials found inside the Laramie Longhorn, the wooden tandem doors on the center console are made from real barn-wood, which enhances on the incredible attention to detail. In order to create a luxurious and soothing environment, the interior cabin is accentuated with ambient lighting at night. Premium LED lamps with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) is surrounded by a chrome billet “RAM” grille and chrome header. The Laramie Longhorn Edition belt-buckle badge appears on the front doors and tailgate.

“The hard-working appeal of the Ram Lone Star has made it a favorite among Texas truck buyers,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand. “Trucks are an important part of Texas life, and Ram trucks are proven to last. Ram’s long-lasting reliability has helped the Ram 1500 cement the highest owner loyalty of any half-ton pickup.”

Joining the 2019 Ram 1500 luxury truck lineup is the all-new Ram 1500 Lone Star. Debuted at the Dallas Auto Show on Valentine’s Day of 2018, the Ram 1500 Lone Star was dubbed as the original “Texas Truck” and is a favorite among Texas truck consumers.

The Lone Star’s interior cabin has been completely enhanced with all-new features and premium quality materials. In order to create an extensive combinations of interior and exterior themes, the 2019 Ram 1500 Lone Star offers a “Sport” and “Black” appearance packages. According to FCA, several option packages are available with the Lone Star in order to give buyers their choice of function-specific enhancements — they include a Bed Utility Group, a 4×4 Off-road Group, a Protection Group, Trailer Tow Mirrors and Brake Group, Max Towing Package and Premium Lighting Group.

Some additional standard features in the Ram 1500 Lone Star include, bright front and rear bumpers, a bright grille surrounded with billet inserts, 18-inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio controls are just some of the standard features included in the Lone Star.
