Is a Chrysler 300 Hellcat in the Mix for FCA?
Rumors are floating around about a Chrysler 300 getting some SRT Hellcat power under the hood. Although these rumors have not yet been confirmed by FCA, spy shots of a mule Chrysler 300 show a promising possibility of a Chrysler 300 SRT Hellcat according to Car Buzz. Here are details of the spied Chrysler 300:
- Although the engine can’t be seen, it is said that the pictured car sounds like the engine under the hood of the Dodge Challenger or Charger SRT Hellcat models. The SRT Hellcat engine is the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 engine that produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
- Four-piston Brembo brake calipers similar to that of an SRT was spotted on the mule.
- The spied vehicle has wider tires and wider fender flares like a vehicle with a SRT Hellcat engine might have.
- According to Car Buzz, if this vehicle does become a reality, it will likely be sold in Middle Eastern and Australian markets, although we hope it would hit the U.S. market as well!
We may not have a SRT Hellcat-powered Chrysler 300 yet, but Kendall Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram certainly has many other Chrysler 300 models available. If you are looking for power, the 300 does come STANDARD with a very powerful 300 horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and if the V6 isn’t enough, the Chrysler 300 is also available with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that produces up to 363 horsepower.
