Dodge Challenger With Over 2,000 Horsepower Wins Barrett-Jackson’s “Best In Show”

Dodge is still seeing results for its classic 1970 Dodge Challenger. Barrett-Jackson, the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, has named a custom 1970 Dodge Challenger “Best in Show” thanks to an astounding 2,000 horsepower output from its massive 572ci (9.4-Liter) big-block HEMI engine that is outfitted with an F-3R ProCharger. The output today in this classic muscle car is more exaggerated than any production vehicle offers today. Owners are more than happy to have 400 horsepower, much less 2,000 horsepower. This carefully modified Dodge Challenger won the top prize for a good reason.
This Dodge Challenger contains an all-steel body that was made from a custom-fabricated and includes PPG Slanted Brown paint. The Roadster Shop chassis carries its own fully independent rear suspension. The Baer brakes and 20×8-inch wheels up front with 20×15-inch rear wheels. The custom Billet machined headlights, taillights and grille that complete the appearance of a gorgeous Dodge Challenger. While this 1970 Challenger doesn’t carry some of the technology found in modern Dodge muscle cars, we can see why it won this award.
Classic Dodge Custom Build Is Ahead of the Competition
The winner of the 2021 lineup which included a 1932 Ford Tudor, a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, 1963 Chevrolet Bel Air Wagon, and a 1972 Ford F-100 pickup. The prize was a $10,000 cash prize to the owner Robert Zahabi from Queensland, Australia. The 2021 Barrett-Jackson Cup and title of “Ultimate Best In Show” presented by eBay Motors. Not many vehicles come with the classic prestige the 1970 Dodge Challenger earned and decades later, it’s still winning awards and recognition.
“This year’s Barrett-Jackson Cup Competition was a testament to the level of talent of today’s custom coachbuilders. Over the past few years since we first hosted the Barrett-Jackson Cup, we’ve seen a tremendous surge of talent and vision take life in these custom builds. I am so honored to be a part of giving these Cup entrants the recognition they deserve. Congratulations to our winner, finalists and all of our entrants,” said Steve Davis.
