The Five Performance Packages Coming to the 2016 Dodge Dart

November 4th, 2015 by

The 2016 Dodge Dart is expected to be one great vehicle, and some have wondered if it will be the best in the nameplate’s history. Still, not every car can satisfy every customer.

Luckily, the brand has included a number of performance packages that will help spruce up your new Dart. Before you make the inevitable purchase, see which add-on you should be pursuing…

If you want your vehicle to intimidate other drivers, a simple solution is to add some black paint to your vehicle. The engineers over at Dodge certainly recognized this, and that’s why they released their Dart Blacktop package.

The trim includes a “blacked-out, sport appearance,” as the vehicle’s main color is complemented by accents of black throughout. This way, the black isn’t overpowering, but when paired with another color, it certainly adds a level of intimidation to the car.

Besides the projector fog lamps (with spear and bezels) and the black “signature split-crosshair grille,” the Blacktop package also includes 18-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, gloss black power exterior mirrors, and a “sport appearance” hood.

The Rallye Appearance package “adds bold, performance-inspired looks” to the Dart, attributes that are certainly important to those who are seeking a stylish and eye-catching vehicle.

The design is distinguishable via the “distinctive performance front fascia” and the previously-mentioned “sport appearance” hood. Furthermore, potential buyers will receive premium cloth seats (with accent stitching), 17-inch granite crystal aluminum wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a rear stabilizer bar, and touring suspension.

To put it over the top, drivers will also receive a class-exclusive integrated dual exhaust (with accompanying ‘bright tips’).

Sun and Sound

The Sun and Sound package includes exactly what you’d guess: a sunroof and a rocking speaker system.

The power sunroof will feature express open and close features, and the large opening should refresh a driver during a long drive. Meanwhile, the driver will also be able to enjoy the 506-watt Alpine Sound System, including nine speakers and a subwoofer. You can test out the system with your phone, which is accessible via the 8.4-inch touchscreen system.

Other features include a “ruby red illuminated floating island bezel,” a ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera (a much appreciated and helpful safety feature), and a remote USB port.

Cold Weather

What do you think this package includes? Any guesses? If you answered ‘features to combat the cold,’ well, you’d be absolutely right!

The Cold Weather package includes heated cloth front seats (which will keep you warm and comfy the moment you sit down), heated power exterior mirrors (preventing snow and ice from accumulating), and a remote starter (which needs to be connected to the automatic transmission).

Of course, Dodge had to include a Dart featuring all the technological amenities available.

There’s a variety of neat features that accompany the technology package, like the rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic high-beam control headlamps (with both functions making your driving experience significantly easier).

Besides the high-intensity discharge headlamps and security alarm, there are also a number of safety features included in this package: the ParkSense Rear Park Assist System (which checks your surroundings before you back up), a Blind Spot Monitoring system (which will let you know if someone has crept up beside you), and a Rear Cross Path Detection system (which will anticipate any vehicles that may come zooming by).

As you can see, there a variety of ways that you can customize and enhance the 2016 Dodge Dart. Sure, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the vehicles release, but it’s worth your while to determine which package you’re going to pursue ahead of time!
