How the Pacifica Topped the Minivan Segment
How has the Pacifica remained on top of rival brands? Awards, word of mouth, and plenty of precise engineering are to thank! Seven years into the newest generation Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid, we are happy to see the Chrysler brand is expanding the popular Chrysler Pacifica minivan for another year. The awards have come in and extended each year since this generation began. The base Pacifica Hybrid is capable of being had for around $51,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee). The electric-range comes at a decent 32 miles. That’s not even counting its 82 MPGe rating; an incredible rating for owners to appreciate. The Pacifica has a new Road Tripper package for the 2023 model year. The Touring L trim provides both gas as well as the hybrid version. Owners also gain choices with the Pacifica that are new for the 2023 model year. The Granite Crystal exterior trim looks lush and comes with special graphics and wheels with Luster Gray and orange highlights. All-weather floor mats, roof rack and the infotainment contains a 10.1-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto perks. This remains the premiere vehicle for the brand until the Chrysler Airflow arrives.
Pricing For the Chrysler Pacifica Minivan
As far as pricing is concerned, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica starts currently at $37,020 MSRP (Plus destination fee). That figure is slightly more than some of the competitors, but considering all the perks offered, owners can’t get much better. This price is actually less than a thousand dollars more than the Sienna minivan. Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell announced a few additional details about the brand’s transformation. She said Chrysler will offer a more comprehensive lineup as there will be three models in their line-up in 2028 and beyond.
“Chrysler is on its way back with a brand-new portfolio of products over the next few years, number of brand-new products that don’t exist today, but also products that are still playing in segments that we’re in already. Our intention is to redefine products for those segments, and they’re certainly going to be a vast departure from what’s in the market today,” said Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell.
She went on to say these upcoming models will include this change. Chrysler currently vies in two segments, we can predict an electric sedan in the future. Keep in mind, with the minivan segment fading in popularity, it’s possible the “vast departure” could mean today’s Pacifica and Voyager will be reborn as crossovers.
