Jeep Adds Gorilla Glass Windshields On All New Wrangler and Gladiator Models

Jeep has found some new ways to reinforce their vehicles that usually go on the most amount of adventures; the Jeep Wrangler mid-size SUV and Jeep Gladiator pickup. According to MoparInsider, the Trail Rated automaker is set to produce outstandingly strong Gorilla Glass windshields as an option for brand new Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. This move is set to begin with the production of the 2022 model years, but can be added for late Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles.

According to the recently revealed announcement details the windshield upgrade will cost about $95 for all new orders. The official Mopar website currently shows “Gorilla Glass” windshields as an upgrade part available for existing vehicles. Customers will be happy with these more durable windshields as they are not just limited to current-model Wranglers and Gladiators. With Mopar having a full set of parts codes for the 2007-2018 JK Wrangler models, any owner of these vehicles can enhance their vehicle, including 2018-2020 Jeep Gladiator drivers. The new parts are already available for order via Mopar parts service, the official parts distributor for Stellantis, it shows credibility to the news that the option will come for new factory-delivered Jeep vehicles soon.

The goal was to introduce a windshield that could resist incidental damage from thin rock chips as well as any impacts from hail or bigger stones, according to Mopar parts. The Gorilla Glass products have actually been available as a post-purchase upgrade. But, the news of this report came as a result of the fact that the windshield was upgraded for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Orange Peelz concept that was showcased earlier this year. New Gorilla Glass windscreens purchased for existing vehicles will come with a two year warranty from date of installation.
