Jeep Freedom Edition Returns For Wrangler, Gladiator
We last saw the Freedom Edition appearance for the 2020 model year, the Jeep Freedom Editions make a return for 2023. Previously available only on the Wrangler, the Jeep Gladiator will be added to the mix with a limited edition as well. The Jeep Freedom special package began in the 2011 model year when Jeep worked with the Military Sales Corporation to promote a new trim that would sell only to active service members overseas, and Jeep only produced a select amount: a neat 200 vehicles. This began a somewhat semi-annual Jeep production every two or three years after the original launch, since around 2014. The newly added extra features list has been refined quite a bit since those original entries, which were produced on the higher trims like the Sahara and came with gear like the performance suspension, several convenience packages, and plenty of Mopar additions for owners to enjoy. Today, this is no different.
Bringing Back the Patriot Favorites
Later this year, both the 2023 Wrangler and Gladiator Freedom Editions will be available, built on the Sport S trims, which begin at $34,790 MSRP for the two-door Wrangler and $42,165 for the Jeep Gladiator pickup. Both gain Oscar Mike badges that symbolize military terms for “on the move” or “on mission,” and American flag decals outside, LED lighting, body-colored fender flares, rock rails, and black wheels. Inside, leather and cloth trim comes with black accent stitching. The container costs $3,295, and active and recently retired service members earn $500 in military bonus cash for this model.
