Jeep is not slowing down the role in building and producing vehicles that customers really want. The Jeep brand has built the iconic Wrangler mid-size SUV, the relatively new, but exciting Jeep Gladiator pickup, and a slew of other SUVs. Namely, the Jeep Renegade, Compass, and Cherokee are popular, as are the more luxurious Grand Cherokee and upcoming Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer. However, there is another Jeep vehicle on the horizon ready to depart out of the factories into new homes. The Jeep Commander is a new nameplate confirmed as part of the Jeep Compass-based three-row, seven-seat crossover vehicle. One thing to keep in mind, this is a vehicle slated for South America for now, but could arrive in North America.
More Insight On the Jeep Commander
The 2022 Jeep Commander is revealed via a short teaser video to highlight the vehicle with a small showcase of what the product’s taillights and silhouette will show. The Commander has a familiar appearance that Jeepers will notice and appreciate with the seven-slot grille and a small sloping roof that smooths out with a flat beltline. The rear of the Jeep Commander has a chrome accent with Jeep badging. The Jeep vehicle is going to be produced in Brazil according to one report. The spy shots have shown longer rear doors and a stretch out rear overhang, compared to the Jeep Compass, of which the Jeep Commander is built off of. The engine options will be revealed before long with the Commander setting up to launch in the second half of 2021. We last saw the Jeep Commander in 2008 in the United States, but it could return along with more Jeep products.
Jeep Building More SUVs?
The original setup for the production of this Jeep vehicle was to mimic the design of the Grand Cherokee, but that is still not the case. For those who are surprised to notice yet another Jeep SUV, keep in mind that Jeep is focused on building what it knows. We won’t see a Jeep minivan any time soon, but this creation is slated to gain traction in the ever growing SUV market that loves a fantastic, new appearance and nameplate; especially built by Jeep. Girmus added the Jeep brand is always bouncing off “new ideas” and could head in “new directions,”. This means we will have to wait and see where the Jeep brand goes next for its future. Jeep only offers vehicles that will make any owner happy that they can go not only on road safely but explore off-road terrains.Come to us today to find more Jeep vehicles directly at Kendall Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.
