Modern Must-Haves on Ram Trucks
Trucks have come a long way in the last few decades and in this day and age, they are expected to have modern features just like any other vehicle. One truck brand leading the industry with technology and convenience is Ram. Ram trucks are intelligently designed for all drivers and are modern, safe and efficient vehicles.
Having the most modern technology is important in trucks. Whether the truck is for business or just for fun, technology offers entertainment, convenience and safety.
Common standard technology you will find in a 2016 or newer Ram truck includes a six speaker audio system, an audio jack for mobile devices, a remote USB port, and radio 3.0. Additional entertainment tech includes SiriusXM, HD radio, a 5- or 8.4-inch digital display screen with UConnect features and navigation.
Ram trucks have a variety of convenience qualities to keep drivers and passengers comfortable. The front seats have height adjustable seat belts and there is a large center console with three cup holders, and driver’s have a helpful instrument cluster with a display screen and a tilt steering column. Other available conveniences include an electric rear sliding window, a heated steering wheel, heated seats and rubber floor mats.
Safety is equally as important when it comes to trucks. Trucks are fairly long and large and they are known for blind spots, so advanced safety tech is extremely helpful and Ram trucks have drivers covered in that department.
Advanced multistage airbags, electronic stability control, speed control, side airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system are some of the standard safety systems on all Ram trucks. Other options (some of which come standard on higher trim levels) like a rear-backup camera, front and rear park assist, a security alarm system, and more are offered as well.
Improved Fuel Economy
Ram trucks has taken the new fuel emissions and fuel economy standards seriously and the Ram brand has the only light-duty truck, which is also the most fuel efficient light-duty truck on the market. The Ram 1500 HFE EcoDiesel saves drivers money on fuel and releases fewer emissions than any other light-duty truck.
The engine on the Ram 1500 trim is Ram’s 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine and it gives the truck an average of 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway mpg. But it’s fuel efficiency does not mean it is less powerful. Diesel engines are able to produce more torque than gasoline engines, and torque is an essential factor for towing. The Ram 1500 HFE produces 240 horsepower, 410 lb-ft of torque and can tow between 8,300 to 9,300 pounds.
