Ram’s heavy duty truck options, the 2500 and 3500, are available with three different cab sizes and the mega cab is the biggest one. A Ram truck with a mega cab is an awesome option for consumers that need a lot of interior space, whether for passengers, pets or cargo.

The Ram mega cab offers front seat passengers 41 inches of legroom and back seat passengers more than 43 inches of legroom. The back seats in the mega cab can be configured to open up 72.2 cubic feet of cargo space and when seats are left in their standard position there is 7.6 cubic feet of space.

Like the other cab configurations, Ram trucks with a mega cab are available with a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain and three engine options, a 5.7L HEMI engine, 6.4L HEMI engine or the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.

When equipped with the Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, the mega cab is one of the most powerful and biggest heavy duty trucks on the market. The Ram 3500 mega cab is available with a dual rear wheel (DRW or dually) or single rear wheel (SRW) and the Ram 2500 mega cab is available as a single rear wheel. With the Cummins Turbo Diesel engine the Ram 3500 SRW has a maximum towing capacity between 16,950 and 17,150 pounds depending on the trim. When equipped with the same engine, the Ram 3500 DRW has a maximum towing capacity between 21,650 and 30,400 pounds

The mega cab is available on six trims within the 2500/3500 lineup and they range in style, price, features and entertainment. The six trims include the SLT, Lone Star, Big Horn, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and the Limited. Of all the mega cab trims, the SLT trim is the most affordable (starting price for Ram 2500 SLT is $42,345) and the Limited trim is priced the highest (starting price for Ram 2500 Limited is $59,575) and it has all of the bells and whistles to keep drivers and passengers comfortable and connected.
