Ram Offers New 2022 Special Editions With (RED) Brand For Charity
The Ram brand is stepping out of the manufacturing business for a moment to take care of others in a meaningful way aside from providing the most beloved pickups on the market. Stellantis, the parent company of Ram as well as Jeep, is partnering with U2 lead singer Bono and the (RED) organization to offer special-edition vehicles as they have a goal to raise $4 million to help curb some of the more recent health crises affecting the world. Ram, along with other Stellantis brands, will offer “editions of the Jeep Compass and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Ram 1500 pickup” with RED edition vehicles, a new red body color. This is one more step in the innovation process Ram has come through with for customers.
Why Ram Is Offering Support For RED
The support for these vehicles will also offer help towards the Global Fund. Global Fund started back in 2002 and has sought to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic, as well as supporting ways to curb malaria and tuberculosis. The support for these vehicles being sold will go to this fund. The head person in charge of this project for Stellantis is Olivier Fancois, who has been able to secure some of the biggest Hollywood names like Eminem, Bruce Springsteen, and Bill Murray to join in Stellantis brand commercials. As the chief marketing officer for Stellantis, Francois was able to help raise awareness for vehicles as well as the spirit of what the brand stands for.
“As the first automotive brands ever to join forces with (RED), a leader in the worldwide fight against pandemics, our immediate goal is to initiate a call to action to help combat these global health emergencies, including COVID-19 relief efforts,” Francois said in a release.”
More On the Newest Ram 1500 Special Editions Coming
The popular Ram 1500 will gain a new 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition, a new 2022 Ram 1500 Longhorn SouthFork, and the new 2022 Ram 1500 (RAM) RED Edition. The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition starts at $91,585 MSRP (Plus destination fee) will only be limited to 825 vehicles with an available 18-inch machine face black wheels and a panoramic sunroof. The 2022 Ram 1500 (RAM) RED edition will begin at $63,250 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and offers the choice of an 8-cylinder engine or the EcoDiesel powertrain with a red R-A-M grille and the (RED) badge on the center console.
