Stellantis Hurricane Engine Earns Spot On Wards10 Best List
Jeep and its parent company Stellantis must be happy about its new Hurricane powertrain with the success gathered in 2022. The launch of this new engine has brought some fanfare including those at Wards Auto. The twin-turbo 3.0-Liter Hurricane powertrain is an innovative piece of hardware. The fuel-efficient powertrain is found in the new 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUV. The debut took place earlier this year and has been placed on Wards Auto 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems award, as well as the engine found in the 2022 Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4xe trims.

The 4xe and Hurricane Twin Turbo powertrains deliver performance that enhances the driving experience on road, off road and when towing. Why the 4xe Investment Is So Important
The world is a better place with this newer technology that aims to improve the way we all travel for daily commutes and even vacation trips. Knowing the all-electric range offers 56 miles per gallon (MPGe) for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, owners are saving more and helping drive down the effect we all carry on greenhouse gasses and carbon dioxide emissions. In fact, the big plan by Stellantis and Jeep is to complete its Dare Forward 2030 plan that is set to lower all global carbon emissions by 50% by then. These companies are doing what they can to achieve net carbon zero by 2038. There’s plenty of EV technology that will come and even improve by the time we get to 2030.
Glowing Reviews and Support For Jeep Engineering Efforts
The results of the current Jeep rides earned these glowing remarks from the editors at Wards Auto for the respective Jeep vehicles. This isn’t the first award Jeep has won in 2022. Here’s what a Wards Auto Judge had to say about the newest Jeep technology.
“Spectacular – the back and forth between the internal combustion engine and electrics is imperceptible and the stop/start is ultra smooth. It’s really a bit of an engineering marvel,” WardsAuto judge Dave Zoia said.
The largest plans have already come in for the Jeep brand regarding the Jeep Grand Cherokee and other vehicles under the Jeep umbrella, but now the reinforcements are making their way.
