The 2016 Jeep Renegade is Perfect for Fun in the Sun
Don’t be surprised if you see plenty of 2016 Renegades sitting on the lots of Jeep dealers in Miami because this little SUV is perfect for fun in the sun. You don’t need an abundance of snow, rocks, or rough trails to enjoy what this Jeep has to offer. Thanks to this little SUVs debut back in 2014, Jeep is feeling more comfortable than ever in a tropical climate.
With a modern and “hip” design, a smaller size, smart technology, interior color combinations that amp you up for a party, and a slew of other fun features, the Renegade belongs tearing up the sand in the sun just as much as it belongs cruising up to nightclubs.
Exterior Design Features
It’s not only the size and design of the Renegade that make this Jeep a beach-lover but also features like the My Sky dual-panel roof. This added feature is proof this little Jeep belongs in the sun, and lets you experience open-air freedom or work on your tan. My Sky has 2 available configurations: retracted or completely removed.
The retracted configuration only exposes the front seats to the open sky, and when both panels are completely removed, the passengers get to experience it as well. These panels can be stored flat in a height-adjustable rear cargo area, so there is no hassle when trying to figure out where to put them.
Complimenting the fun My Sky feature is the overall design of the vehicle. The Renegade is odd-looking but in a good way. This is probably Jeep’s most unique design for the 2016 model lineup, and it’s a breath of fresh air. This little guy appeals to a whole different audience than the consumers who want a Wrangler or Cherokee. It appeals to those who are looking for a party-house on wheels.
It all starts with the front of the Jeep, where the famous 7 slotted grill is sitting. The headlights are a perfect circle and look like disco balls made out of crystal; setting the fun tone for the rest of the vehicle. The cab resembles that of a Wrangler, with the same square shape as the rest of the vehicle. The back, however, is a design that we have never seen from Jeep; or on any other car in the market for that matter.
The back of the Renegade features two eye-popping square tail-lights, and they have an X design in the center. Even stepping on the brakes will make a statement, a statement that only becomes stronger when you see the energetic interior of the 2016 Renegade.
For the inside, the Renegade has even more features that keep the party rocking; and it’s not sorry. The first thing you’ll notice is 1 of the 4 interior color combinations offered. It comes in either premium leather or cloth seating, and the only color combination exclusive to the cloth is the black/sandstorm with cattle tan accent stitching; which combines a light brown and black to create a contrast that isn’t as harsh.
If that’s still too subdued for your taste, then you will probably check out the 3 tone color option: bark brown with ski gray and tangerine. The dark brown is a rich chestnut color, and the ski gray is so light it’s almost white. Combine this with the eye-popping tangerine orange, and you have an interior that gets you amped up for whatever nightclub you are going to.
If both of these options are too bright for you, however, there are a couple darker options left. Like the black with light frost accent stitching, and brass colored accents. Or, keep the black base color and add a bright ruby for the trim color, with matching accent stitching on the seats.
The 2016 Renegade isn’t lacking in the technology department either and has plenty state-of-the-art features to keep you entertained, safe, and on track. The available 7-inch full-color driver information display is a great way to start, and it allows you to put info right there when you need it most. The steering wheel-mounted controls allow you to effortlessly flip back and forth between information such as Selec-Terrain choice, Active ParkSense, Rear Park Assist, a digital speedometer, navigation, and much more.
The Uconnect 6.5 system is available in various formats, and the best of the best is the 6.5 NAV. This Uconnect system is operated on a 6.5-inch touchscreen and has a plethora of features, like AM/FM radio Aux/USB media hubs for an iPod, mobile device integration with voice command and hands-free phone technology, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a sensor-assisted GPS, and more. This is the mothership for all the technology in the Renegade, and it’s all provided to you in great quality and color.
Rounding off the party atmosphere inside the Renegade is the BeatsAudio Nine-Speaker sound system. The BeatsAudio system provides crystal clear and high definition sound. Not only is it clear and high def, but it’s also studio-quality sound thanks to an eight-channel 506-watt digital amplifier. This system also includes a 6.5-inch subwoofer in the rear.
With a sound system and fun-looking interior like this, don’t be surprised if you don’t want to get out of your Renegade when you finally get to the nightclub.
Trim Levels For Everything
Whether you are looking for a lower price, want the best of the best, or something in between; the 2016 Jeep Renegade has a trim level for everything. The Sport and Latitude are perfect for new car buyers and rolling up to a nightclub. The hip styling and low price tags are appreciated; the Sport starting at an MSRP of $19,995, the Latitude starting at an MSRP of $23,395. If you need more off-roading capability for crawling around on the sand, the Trailhawk is your best bet. This is the best off-roader in the Renegade lineup and has a starting MSRP of $26,745. If all you are interested in is getting a Renegade with the best of the best, then the Limited starting at an MSRP of $27,120 is the best pick.
Regardless of trim, the 2016 Jeep Renegade has plenty of upgrade options and standard features to keep you entertained and enjoying your ride; no matter where you take it. Plus, all Renegades come with the same fun and modern design, letting you fit right in when cruising down the Miami beach or finding the hottest nightclubs in the area.
