The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Is Ready To Debut

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator has arrived! Sort of. The latest Jeep® creation is poised to take the world by storm; so much so that FCA has quickly taken down the information previously released regarding the upcoming Jeep pickup. The reason? They want to make sure there’s a proper debut for the public to witness. However, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is poised to have a mega-hit on their hands given the success of the Jeep brand in recent years.

This new 2020 Jeep entry will be the midsize pickup customers have been clamoring for. The Jeep Gladiator, as known as the Gladiator JT, is set to debut officially at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show that goes from November 30th through December 9th, 2018. The Jeep pickup will be among the first of it’s kind and will be known as the “Gladiator”; a fittingly cool name for a ridiculously awesome vehicle.

Sales of midsize picks are up a total of 20.3 percent compared to this time last year. This means the world wants this Jeep vehicle and so do we. Let’s talk about it.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Is Everything We Want

With its legendary 4×4 capabilities intact, there’s no doubt the latest Jeep creation, the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator will have all the off-road prowess of the ever-popular Jeep Wrangler. The Gladiator is be equipped with 33-inch off-road tires, Command-Trac, and Rock-Trac 4×4 systems and Best-in-class towing with 7,650 pounds of towing capacity and 1,600 payload capacity. The crew cab configuration will include a durable five-foot steel bed with a covered external power source. Looking sleek, the Wrangler pickup is designed to have incredible aerodynamics and the only true open-air 4×4 pickup with easy-to-use premium soft top and two hardtop options.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator will also have the trusted and true 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 engine with Engine Stop-Start technology in either an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Based largely off the 2018 Jeep Wrangler four-door version, there’s a range of trims expected to be released including a Sport, a new Overland trim and one based off the iconic off-road Wrangler, the Rubicon trim. Base trims will include an 18-inch wheel with upright tail lights and lots of features that can be found in the Wrangler. Included in that will be a hardtop roof, and the aforementioned Pentastar engine, able to deliver 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Solid axles currently found in the latest Jeep Wrangler JL will be inside the Gladiator to boost off-road performance.

More Facts About the Upcoming Jeep pickup

The namesake of the “Gladiator” was used when Jeep nearly made the pickup in 1962, but the name has not been used since 1988. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is expected to be made at FCA’s Toledo Assembly Complex in Toledo, Ohio alongside the Jeep Wrangler JL. Sales of the Jeep Gladiator will start in early 2019 with the pickup expected to be very popular.
