The 2022 Jeep Compass carries one powertrain option, the powerful 2.4-Liter inline-four engine that has 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. This engine is not the cream of the crop, but those who want a compact SUV aren’t asking for the immersive power offered by other larger Jeep alternatives. The Jeep Compass does offer a rather solid 25 combined MPG rating. The 2022 Jeep Compass offers a six-speed and nine-speed automatic transmission to pair with its lone powertrain. There is a choice of front or all-wheel-drive as well, with its starting price at $27,615 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and topping out with the High Altitude trim that begins at $36,385 MSRP (Plus destination fee).
