In the current climate of vehicles, few are set for success like the Ram brand and its ProMaster van. Workhorse vans are still a profitable venture for the Ram brand and the 2022 Ram ProMaster will continue the commitment towards offering customers the ideal choice for a work van. The comfortable interior is a bonus to match the top-notch performance with a vehicle that owners are comfortable driving in. The spacious interior that drives traffic towards this vehicle option. The Ram ProMaster saw a large order from Waymo, a company looking to push driverless vehicles into the forefront of public perception.

The Coming Future of the Ram Brand

The Ram brand, owned by Stellantis (parent company to Fiat), has ties to the changes of its owner. The Stellantis group recently launched the Fiat brand with a new solely-electric cargo van in the Fiat E-Ducato. This vehicle has changed the perception that the Ram brand would not add anything more electric to its vehicles any time soon. The Stellantis brand will look to add more not only for Ram, but Dodge as well. This is the first time we have learned of all the electric plans that are showing up in this year. We know about the upcoming promise to go electric in the coming years, but now even the ProMaster could be subject to some fuel economy upgrades with the electric trim treatment.  The E-Ducato is a brand new vehicle that offers best-in-class payload up to 4,300 pounds and offers 121 horsepower with 207 lb-ft of torque. The range of this vehicle is set to be between realistic range of 100 to 160 miles depending on usage. The Battery pack options can go up to 224 miles on a single charge. The perks of the Fiat E-Ducato are set to find their way into a Ram vehicle if this report is accurate.  We can see the similarities and some of the differences to the current ProMaster pickup.

The 2021 Ram ProMaster offers a low and high-roof variant and different sized wheelbases. 118, 136, 159-inch wheelbase variants are optionable. This is expected to increase as the vehicle will offer some modifications for the next model year set to debut later in 2021. We will learn more about what is coming with the 2022 Ram ProMaster soon enough. For more information on the Ram ProMaster, speak to us at Kendall Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.
