Whether you have kids, a band or you do a lot of road trips, maybe you prefer a car that can transport more people. Dodge has three vehicles that are perfect family vehicles and offer seating for seven people. These three cars include the Journey, Durango and Grand Caravan models.
Dodge Durango and Dodge Journey
The Dodge Durango and Journey are both SUVs with three rows of seating, with the exception of the Journey SE. Both vehicles are spacious and great for families because they are available with entertainment systems. However, the stance of the Durango is slightly larger in both height and width. If you plan on towing or want a stronger engine than the Durango is for you. If you don’t need much towing capacity, the more affordable Dodge Journey might be best for you. Dodge Grand Caravan
There is also the Grand Caravan, a seven seater minivan. The Dodge Grand Caravan is great for families as well, especially those who plan to road trip. The van allows for up to 143.8 cu. Ft. of cargo space and it is equipped with Stow ‘n Go seating, a great feature that doubles as floor storage space or a space for the seats when folded up and not in use. The Durango and Grand Caravan are not only spacious, but each have relatively good towing capacities that can tow smaller boats, ATVs or vehicles. The Grand Caravan can tow up to 3,600 pounds, and the strong and powerful Durango can tow up to 7,400 pounds with the larger 5.7-liter V8 HEMI engine.
Maybe saving money on gas and having a car with a smaller carbon footprint is important to you. In that case, the Dodge Dart, a four-door sedan, is a great vehicle. The base engine model for the Dodge Dart is a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that gets 28 mpg in the city, and 41 mpg on the highway. Dodge has three performance vehicles are fast, fierce and fun — the Viper, Challenger, and Charger. In the last few years Dodge partnered up with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ special street and racing technology (SRT) team to add a little more speed under the hoods of a few trims of each model.
The one that is right for you depends on your desired budget, track times, passenger space and the additional features you want. Each of them have a different body style, tone and overall look.
The Dodge Viper is the most extreme of the three models. The Dodge Viper is a two-door performance car equipped with an insane 8.4-liter V10 engine. The engine generates up to 645 horsepower and the Viper accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 3 seconds. 2016 is the Viper’s 25th birthday and to celebrate, Dodge created six special-edition 25th Anniversary models. These six models will also be the final Dodge Vipers ever produced.
Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger
The Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Charger are both high-performance American muscle cars offering drivers style, heritage and power. The Challenger is a two-door vehicle and the Charger is a four-door vehicle, making it the world’s only four-door muscle car.
Both vehicles are available in a number of trims and with various engines, including two SRT engine options. Both of the base models for the Challenger and Charger are equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 305 horsepower.
SRT 392 and Hellcat Engines
However, both vehicles are available with the SRT 392 or SRT Hellcat engine engine. The SRT 392 engine is a 6.4-liter V8 HEMI engine that generates 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.
Then there is the SRT Hellcat engine, and it makes both cars two of the fastest and most powerful muscle cars in the world. The SRT Hellcat engine is a jaw-dropping 707-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 HEMI engine that pushes out 650 lb-ft of torque.
