Between sales and just overall vehicle quality and build, there is no question that Dodge has surpassed one of their competitors in 2023. Half way through the year, we’ve learned from the period from April through June 2023, Chevrolet moved only 9,557 new Camaros. Coming in second behind Dodge was Ford selling only 10,760 Mustangs. Despite selling a bit less than 2022, Dodge still sold the most with 12,904 Challenger rides sold. The Dodge brand has flexed more than just muscle in 2023.

Chevy, Ford Can Not Keep Up

The Camaro only both 650 hp, that is almost doubled with the newest iteration of the special edition Challenger. Of course it is a Limited Production Ryan for the SRT Demon 170, however even base hellcats provide more horsepower than the top tier Camaro. This is probably why the Camaro has suffered greater losses in sales compared to dodge that has maintained excellence and secured the top-selling muscle car spot for back to back years. The Chevy Camaro is actually still ranking behind not only dodge but also Ford and might eventually become replaced with another vehicle. That’s what happens when buyers refuse to stick with a vehicle nameplate and opt for the competition. Of course, Dodge has never made it easier or more apparent for shoppers to understand why Dodge is more preferred.

Fierce Muscle Never Worries About Rivals

Not even the rival Ford mustang can hold a candle to the high quality production value and engineering feats that Dodge provides customers. Only newer Dodge products surpass Dodge vehicles in recent years. Simply put a stranglehold on the muscle car segment as they have shown with this new Dodge SRT offering. Dodge completed their “last call“ series that started last year and went through this year’s debut with the SRT Demon 170 showcasing what true production cars can offer. The truth remains that while electric rides will be coming next year for Dodge, they left the muscle car scene with its greatest effort that will stand the test of time.While we have seen the special plans Dodge has made to punch forward with electrified technology in their muscle cars, something remains special about this era and the cherry on top of the whole muscle 2000’s through the first half or so of the 2020s.
